Avastfree. open run and schedule a boot time scan. This will eliminate viruses and trojans before they have time to enter the OS
This is the best free anti-virus I found

You have to try deleting the virus from the virus vault and if that doesn't work then its best you wipe the whole system because trojans multiplies so when you think that you delete it you just remove probably one when there is many more still in the system.

I have a Trojan virus, how do I get rid of it

How do you know you have a Trojan? Did your antivirus tell you? If so, what was the exact text of the message (especially the name of the virus)? If you have an antivirus installed, try using that to scan and delete it. Otherwise, search Google for the name of the virus and how to remove. If you can't figure it out, I might be able to find something related to that virus.

You need to purchase a good antivirus utility like Norton Antivirus. Load the clean disk to boot your laptop with and let it get on with the cleaning process.
Hope that helps.

There are total 29 spyware, trojan rougeand adware viruses in the pc software.how ican get rid of all these please .product is window vista.hp pavilion intel core 2 quad processor

You gave no mention of anti spyware or antivirus programs.

You need to reboot your computer in safe mode (F8) as it is starting.

Once in Safe Mode, run your antispyware, antivirus and antimalware programs. then restart in normal mode and run them again.

If you have none of these programs, try:

Advance system Care
- anti spyware
AVG AntiVirus
Security 360 - anti malware, trojans

good luck

Reboot without disk

well, firstly having trojans on your computer shouldnt be reason enough to reinstall the whole OS especially if they arent affecting you computer to such an extent that you cant even install other applications. So what you could try and do, install or update your antivirus, Run a scan and see if that changes anything. If you're not sure what antivirus will do the job, visit http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html and get their free tool, it allows you to run scans during start-up, so if you have an trojans that are locked into memory, during start-up they can be removed.
As for running an new installation, You could get a more recent version of the OS your using and you could run an 'Upgrade' installation, it leaves all your programs intact.

How do you get rid of a virus that has got thru my norton, firewall and windows defender. i think its a trojan?

You can try different antivirus like AVG, NOD32, or kaspersky, but if you really want to erase it then back up all of your data and then reformat your HD using the Windows Vista Installation disk.Or better delete the partition and then recreate it,this will 110% get rid of that virus. You may want to use a anti spyware utility like ad-aware this can also get rid most spyware/trojan out their.

Pop ups and trojan horse

You could try installing www.spybot.com although this may not be possible without admin rights (you wont have permission to install the app)

The other thing you could do is boot in safemode (F8 at the start) and see can you install it now.

If its XP you could try do a system restore back to a point when your laptop was working. Then install spybot

Finally you could make a dos virus scan disk from your antivirus ofware and let it scan windows and your drive before the trojan is started.

It can be tricky to remove, but if you tell me the name of the trojan there maybe an application/utilitie to remove that specific virus.

Hope this helps!
