Question about Weber Q 320 Propane Grill

1 Answer

I seem to be getting less overall heating from the jets. Gas is good, but pressure seems lower. Do the jets need cleaning, if so what is the best method. I appreciate any assistance you may be able to offer. Thankyou.

The jets may need to be cleaned. Remove the burners, and if the orifices screw out, take them out and blow them out with compressed air. If the orifices do not screw out, take a very thin wire and poke them out. It could also be a failing regulator, try replacing the hose and regulator first, before taking the grill apart.

I have GE model#JKP45WOP2WG double oven wall unit. Lower oven isn't heating up properly. Bottom of lower oven doesn't seem as hot as the top of the oven... replaced oven sensor, not

Most double wall ovens are technically two separate oven boxes. The lower oven box has its bake, boil elements, high limit thermostat and ofcourse its own oven sensor. If the lower oven box boil is working good and less heat on bake feature may suggest that the bake element is burned out and only getting preheated with boil element. Just a suggestion here

Will not fully heat to temp setting; takes 2 min B4 gas ignition 2 heat.

Time for the gas valve to open fully can be a few minutes, I've seen them take up to 3 minutes to open, so its not unusual. Hoverer, the temp issue may be due to your burner's gas jets being clogged with ash, etc. Remove the burner and inspect, the holes or jets should be nice and clear, any clogged ones need to be opened use a safety pin or something similar to open, try no to make the hole any bigger then it is. You may also find it may light quicker since there will be less back pressure in the line once the jets are cleaned.

My weber grill doesn't seem to be getting enough gas thruogh the jet to heat to proper temp.

The most likely problem is that food drippings have clogged some of the pin-hole gas outlets in the burner tubes. If those are clean and open, then either your propane tank is not releasing the gas or the controls on the grill are not releasing the gas. If you look at the flame level, probably best done with the flavorizer bars removed, and they are all the same with the controls on high, then it it probably the tank valve. If the flame heights are different, the lower one(s) are the ones where the control valve(s) are not working and need to be replaced. Good luck!

The dishwasher doesn't seem to be cleaning very well any more. The glasses are always dirty and the dishes just don't seem to be clean like they used to be. Does the dishwasher need some maintenance? ...

Check the following:
- The Salt Container - Found at the bottom of the Dishwasher. (If required, replenish salt)
- The spray arms (They usually get clogged at the small holes where the water should spray out of)
- Us less heat (High heat can leave white visible stains on glass)

Hope this helps :-) - J.Q

My ge gas stove works, but the flames just don't seem big enough. even on high, it takes forever to bring a covered pot of water to a boil. The flames seem even, mostly blue with some orange/yellow. any...

There can be poor air mix ( oxygen) for the flame to grow up. so remove the burner and use a good metal brush and air jet to clean off allt he crust and dirt of food lodged into the burners.
Now if the regulator gas fflow is down then your jet is blocked. If so you might have to remvoe the regulator to see that the jet is cleaned out . use a thin pin and airjet to clean.

You can find professional cleaning solution products at any good computer parts store, or you can rubbing alchohol (the less water content the better) use a lint free cloth like the kind to clean eye glasses.

In my opinion the best thermal paste is Arctic Silver

My pump pressure is 10psi i cleaned the de filters they seem fine i have good floe out of my jets but when i hook the pool cleaner up pressure drops to almost nothing. could my impeller be the problem

The pressure you are reading is the pressure in the filter tank as water is pumped though it. When the filter is freshly charged, 9 PSI is a good pressure.

As the filter removes particles from the water the filter gets "dirty" -- it takes more pressure to push the water through it thus raising the PSI.

I think you are viewing this in reverse. Low filter pressure is "good" (as long as it stays above 8 PSI) -- as the filter cleans the water the PSI will increase -- when it gets to 15-20 PSI it needs to be back-washed and recharged.

The pressure drops when the pool cleaner is connected because pool cleaners always pull in air (in varying amounts) because of all the hose connections. This causes your filter/tank pressure to drop.

Dishes not getting clean

Since you are using a name brand detergent, open the filter area beneath the lower spray arm. Rinse out everything and remove any debris. While you are in there, look closely at the heating element- is it obviously broken or "bubbled"? Yes or no, the next most common problem is a failed heating element.
The heating element is imperative to activate the detergent and assure that the rinse aid works as advertised.
Good Luck!
