UF-8000 J43 Jam (Not There)

Hello,

I have a UF-8000 that is giving me a J43 error code. There is no paper jam that I can find.

It's brand new out of the box.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Jim

I was getting the same error code J43 I have looked everywhere and I could not find a paper jam anywhere. When I took the toner out I saw that one of the two paper sensors was missing. They are black plastic prongs that sick up about half an inch. They are pushed down when paper is pushed through. It fell inside the workings right above the paper drawer. There is a spring that goes with it, so find that too. It was very hard to reattach, so good luck. It’s working just fine now. Hope this helps!!

J43 has a few solutions, one there are a few finger sensors under the toner cartridge , make sure there not broken. two is there a grinding noise because if there is , could be a fuser problem. three there are some small white cables at the back of the machine some people think there paper and try to pull at them. if there cut or damaged then theres a big problem.

good luck

if your blue knob keeps moving back every time you close the tray means you broke the knob.

how it could have been broken.

1-tray was not removed to insert paper

    2-tray is constantly slamed shut

Open the paper tray & most likely the tab that holds the paper tight has gotten scooted back. Make sure the paper is up tight next to the front of the paper tray & push the tab to hold tight.

Ours does this ALL the time - poorly made. It scoots back a little each time you shut the paper tray.

Turn it around and have a look in the back panel that opens, open all other covers and check that any of the small black sensor levers are not stuck down they shoul all spring back

The fax is received by the other party but we receive an error code J72. There is no jam

Dear
If you are sending the fax using ADF, there may be the document jam, Open the ADF cover check the path for any foreign objects.
Also you can send from platen glass without document jam.

Also this may happen to the other end fax machine, better you do a test copy from ADF and Platen glass. and confirm your fax machine is ok.
Thanks.

J01 error, but no paper jam; can't re-set

Remove the toner cartridge.

There should be 2 switch actuators sticking up from the base.

It sounds like one of these actuators has been knocked loose. Try to clip the actuator back on to the sensor.

This is a TOUGH job, you may need a sercive tech to look at it.

ERROR CODE #021

Try a new toner cartridge. If that doesn't take care of the problem, it's the fuser.

WHAT IS A CODE J44

J44=That is a paper jam in the paper exit section of the document (original) feed section. As your original is exiting the scanner section, it is either taking too long, or hanging up, or possibly the sensor itself is dirty or has a broken "flag arm". There should be a small black plastic piece that the original hits when it exits the feeder. If it's there, try using canned air to blow out the area. Good luck.
