Question about SanDisk Sansa m240 MP3 Player

My device is not been detected by computer

Hi everybody,
I have two sandisk 1GB mp3 players . I usually store only songs in them but my friend told me that i can also store data and can use it as a pendrive . for a couple of times it worked good and for the third time the problem began (computers are not detecting my mp3 players).
please help me

You have brought in some virus into the device. try to scan and open the device and delete off any bad files that have corrupted your memory.If the device is deteccted and the files are not showing you must use search for files and open the entire files in the device.

How can i get rid of the songs i dont want from my sandisk m230


Hi!
You can plug your player into the USB port on your computer. Once it is detected, you can browse it as a normal Mass Storage device. You should be able to see all music files from there and delete or add up more songs to the player.

1. First, check your device setting up on MTP or MSC? Turn on device, go to "settings" , press down or up to find "USB Mode", you can see the check mark at MTP (auto detect) or MSC mode. Change to another usb mode.
2. You have 2 ways to delete songs:
2.1. Delete songs by device: play songs, press down (sub menu) until you meet "delete song", select it and yes
If you delete all items in device: Settings, Format, and yes
2.2. Delete songs by computer: plug device to computer, double click on device icon, Music folder, and delete songs you want. If you don't see songs in there, unplug the device from pc, and then change USB mode, and plug device to pc to delete.

How do you erase songs you downloaded?


1. Turn on and connect your Sandisk MP3 player to the computer using the USB connection cable.
2. Select "Open folder/device to view files" when prompted by Windows Explorer. You can also look for the Sandisk MP3 player under "My Computer."
3. Navigate to the folder on your device where your songs are stored.
4. Select the files (songs) you want to delete and press the "Delete" key.
5. Exit from the window, then disconnect the USB cable from the Sansa MP3 player. The player will automatically turn off. The memory will update the first time you turn the player on
after deleting songs.

Connecting sandisk mp3 player to a computer


try going to www.sansa.com click on support and then click on your model player. Go through the troubleshooting questions and find your problem. there should be a few solutions for you to try. Good luck :)

Sansa c240 MP3 Player 1GB froze


Attention: resetting the device will delete all the songs..

You can try to reset the device by pressing the power button for about 15 to 20 seconds..if that doesnt work I would recommend you to go to the sandisk site to update the firmware on your device or you can contact sandisk to they can help you with updating the firmware on your device..Please follow the link below to get the firmware

Songs still on player


Go ahead and do this, in case the DB is corrupted:
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/DriverDownloads.aspx

My mp3 player restarts when it turns on


Connect the player to your computer and then reformat the player this is usually cause by corrupt songs in the device. If it the player is detected as a portabel device. Perform recovery mode onf the player then follow these steps. 1. Create a New Text Document in your desktop. 2. Open it and click on File then Save As 3. Change teh Save as Type  All Files and the file name is sansa then save the file. 4. Now copy the file to the 16 MB drive which is located in your My Computer. ****** This will format the player and delete all the songs in your device. If it did not work update the firmware of the player.
