Question about CP International WAP-0006 (WAP0006) 802.11b/g Wireless Access Point

Web configuration dows not work after reset

After reset the wap-0006 looses the options in drop-down lists.
On the first try i configured the Mode to "AP" and changed the ip address.
But later i planned to try "Universal Repeter" mode but after resetting the box the web configuration program changed and no options are now visible in the drop-down list for "Mode", it looks like the device has lost all memory of the available options.

Perhaps you have to search for an upgrade to the WAPs firmware. The manufacturer may have a page in the web config that allows it to search for an updated firmware. If not, you should be able get one from the manufacturers website and apply it yourself from the download. The web config program should have an option to do so.

How could i Configure WAP 3101 as a Access Point.

it should work in AP mode by default. here's how to make sure anyways:

- set a manual IP of 192.168.1.10 mask 255.255.255.0 to the network card you will use to connect to the Access Point (wired/wireless)
- open your browser to 192.168.1.1
- by default, both username and password are set to "admin" (It may be a good Idea to change that)
- on the left, under "System", select "System Properties"
- set the "Operation Mode" to "Access Point" and Apply

This is your AP's user manual for your reference.

good luck

Is there wireless repeater option in this linksys wap 610 n model

No, there is not. I actually called Cisco and was told it would work, but after searching on the internet for the configuration options, it turns out it WILL NOT.

Cisco needs better pre-sales reps. That is a lot of money down the drain thanks to their not so educated staff.

Netgear access point cant open configuration page

Typically you should be using configuration software until a real IP can be setup and you either address it statically or turn on DHCP. As for the gateway and other information, on a wireless gateway, it should all be routed through the network. Also, I think you have to be wired to the WAP to access the config page, I don't believe it can be seen over the wireless connection as a security feature.

WAP54G reset issues

This is done by simply holding down the reset button located on the back of the unit for at least 30 seconds. Once the WAP has been reset, it must be reconfigured. Using your web browser go to URL address http://192.168.1.245.
To access the WAP's setup page, you have to static out you computer to
IP:192.168.1.200
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
gateway: 192.168.1.245
Then you have to add the router's wireless mac address to the WAP. In the WAP, select "repeater mode" in the advance page. and type in the router's wirelesss mac address, that can be found in the wireless tab of the staus page.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe
