You need to clean the printer heads. Go to start-->control panel-->printers. Right click on the printer and select properties. Click printing preferences at the bottom and goto maintenance tab. From their you can choose to do a "head cleaning". You may have to run it a few times and print a "nozzle check" each time to see if it's any better. If it's not perfect after 3-4 times wait a day and try again.

Prints half page

Printing half a page with an Inkjet machine is not normally a computer issue. So windows 10 would not normally have any effect on the printing for a printer that has been accepted by the Windows 10 Operating System. If there was an issue in the software it would be printing gibberish or not printing at all.

Printing half a page is quite possably something stuck in the printer stopping the ink from getting to that half a page if it is printing down once side but not the other.
Printing half a page being that the top half is printed but not the bottom half (Or the other way around) it could be an air bubble in the feed line which can be cleared with a printhead clean or two.
Printing half a line rather than a full line such as the top half of each letter is clear but the bottom half of each letter is not visable is a blocked printhead. A couple of printhead cleans can also fix this.
Also check to see if the printer is not confused and actually has empty cartridges even if the printer thinks they are full. Brother printers can easily get confused about ink levels. If the cartridges are actually empty, replace them and away it should go again.

Hope that helps

The striker appears not to strike the Daisy wheel letters firm enough to produce a dark and clear letter. Many times the result is a letter not fully printed and it appears to be lighter along the left...

Please check the ink ribbon. There are two types of ribbons. The plastic one can be used once and if you try it the second time then there is no guarantee that all letters will appear fine and legible. (as may be happening in your case). The other is the cloth ribbon. This can be reused and it keeps fading as you keep repeating it. But in this case all letters are faded and nor selective.

Some letters are not printing clearly. They are smeared. I just replaced the black cartridge. It seems that after a few pages it gets better and you don't see as much of it.

Please check the printer ink levels and if the ink level is fine and it still not printing then I will like to know type printer you are using, then I can carring on from there.

Printing

Check on your color (not mono) ink levels. If they are low, this could cause this.

Technical info: On this printer, envelope text is printed in "composite black" which means we mix the colored inks to make black. This is done for envelopes and not letters because of the ink properties which resist water and smear. If one of the colors is low, you'll get something other than black.

Double striking letters in middle of sentence

This was one of the BEST All-In-One printer HP had ever made
Its a real fortune to still have it.

Verification of color out – happens only after keeping the unit idle for quite some time.
1. Are the cartridges out of ink – check ink levels
2. check self-test report patterns (missing lines or streaked bars)
3. Look for missing colors or ink smears.
4. Was this issue showing up because of any one single color?
5. Was it stored in a warm environment (Stored under direct sunlight?)
6. Manual Cleaning & Cleaning from Driver

Normally when you install the print software you install HP Director or solution centre software that has a estimated ink staus monitor..from user manual

Check the estimated ink levels You can easily check the ink supply level to determine how soon you might need to replace a print cartridge. The ink supply level shows an estimate of the amount of ink remaining in the print cartridges. Tip You can also print a self-test report to see if your print cartridges might need to be replaced. For more information, see Print a self-test report. To check the ink levels from the HP Director (Windows) 1. In the HP Director (or HP Solution Center), click Settings, point to Print Settings, and then click Printer Toolbox. Note You can also open the Printer Toolbox from the Print Properties dialog box. In the Print Properties dialog box, click the Services tab, and then click Service this device. 2. Click the Estimated Ink Level tab. The estimated ink levels for the print cartridges appear. To check the ink levels from the HP Image Zone software (Mac) 1. In the HP Director (OS 9) or HP Image Zone (OS X), choose Settings, and then choose Maintain Printer. 2. If the Select Printer dialog box appears, select your HP All-in-One, and then click Utilities. 3. From the pop-up menu, choose Ink Level. The estimated ink levels for the print cartridges appear.

Print a self-test report If you are experiencing problems with printing, print a self-test report before you replace the print cartridges. This report provides useful information on several aspects of your device, including your print cartridges.
Load letter, A4, or legal unused plain white paper into the paper tray.

Press and hold the Cancel / Resume button and then press the Start Copy Color button
The HP All-in-One prints a self-test report, which might indicate the source of the printing problem.

Printer problem with 6210 all in one.

Try to print a self test page from the printer itself, do these:
  1. Press and hold the Cancel and the Color buttons at the same time.
  2. Release both buttons.
  3. The Self Test Report will be printed.
and check if it is the same output, if yes then follow the steps below:
  1. Some of the ink cartridge ink nozzles may be clogged with dry ink. Use the ink cartridge cleaning service to try to clear them. Follow the steps below:
  2. Verify that there is plain white paper in the Input tray.
  3. Press Setup .
  4. Press c00712200.gif or c00712201.gif to select Tools and then press OK .
  5. Press c00712200.gif or c00712201.gif to select Clean Print Cartridge and then press OK . The unit prints a test page.
  6. Examine the test page. If the print quality of the page is good, stop here. If the print quality appears to be getting better, run the Clean Print Cartridge utility again
  1. If the self test appears better, Increase the copy quality setting (Normal or Best) and try copying again. If the quality is still poor, continue to the next step.
  2. If the quality is still poor, one or more of the cartridges may be low on ink or empty. Follow the steps below to check the ink levels.
  3. Open HP Solution Center .
  4. Click Settings .
  5. Click Print Settings .
  6. Click Printer Toolbox .
  7. Click the Estimated Ink Levels tab
  • Replace any ink cartridge that is low on ink.
  • If the ink levels are not low, clean the cartridge face and electrical contacts at the back of the print carriage.
    1. Open the front of the unit to access the ink cartridges.
    2. After the ink cartridges are at the center, unplug the power cord from the back of the unit, and remove the ink cartridges. The power cord must be removed to ensure that the unit is not damaged during the cleaning process.
    3. Clean the cross-hatched area of the ink cartridge with a soft clean cloth that is slightly dampened with clean water to remove any build up. Avoid cleaning the ink cartridge nozzle plate. Cleaning this area can force foreign matter into the ink nozzles and plug them.
  • With a soft lint free cloth slightly dampened with clean water, clean the copper-colored contacts on the back of the ink cartridges.
  • Allow the cartridges to dry before reinserting them.
  • Close the unit, and plug the power cord back in.
  • Print a self-test page to check the results. Follow the steps below to print a self-test page.
    1. Press Setup .
    2. Press c00712200.gif or c00712201.gif until Print Report displays and then press OK .
    3. Press c00712200.gif or c00712201.gif until Self-Test Report displays and then press OK . The self-test report prints.
If the problem is not corrected by cleaning the ink cartridges, replace the ink cartridge(s).
IF THE SELF TEST REPORT IS CLEAN, THEN TRY TO PRINT FROM ANOTHER SOFTWARE LIKE PAINT, NOTEPAD AND IF THE OUTPUT IS OK THEN THE PROBLEM IS ON THE SOFTWARE THAT YOU ARE USING

Try taking the ribbon out and looking at it see if there is one spot for each character on the ribbon or if they are overlapping. If they are over lapping then either you have a problem with the ribbon drive assembly on the machine or it is set for a multi-strike ribbon.
