Just wire it back together, you don't have to worry about crossing the wires up. because it's just a hot and ground for a coil to magnitize to ingage the pto clutch.

My RZT 50 turns blades on when levers are pulled back instead of shutting of and shuts off when in forward position ? could it be a switch is bad if yes what switch?

Sounds like someone has been working on the wiring, probably trying to bypass the reverse cut out switches . If you follow your steer control lever down under the plastic console covers there will be a switch, one on each steer lever by where it hinges. I don't think the switch is bad because it would not work at all if it was.It is like a door bell switch, when you pull back on the steer control lever it pushes it in and disconects the circuit to the PTO switch and the blades quit until you push them forwards and lets the curent through again. Also check the push pull PTO switch .Every safety switch on the tractor will meet at that switch and plug into it, . That model cub RZT50 has to have the worst switches ever made, but they are available and cheap on ebay. Plunger Switch 430362 430 362 for Cub Cadet Troy Bilt MTD 700 Series 725... Mower blades won't turn when PTO Lever is engaged

First, is your PTO Manual (You Throw a Large Lever) or Electric (you push a button or pull a knob) If it is manual, check the cable that it is in position and not broken or stretched. If it is electric this is not as easy. First check for a fuse and relay. The power for the PTO switch is feed through the ignition switch so check connections at the ignition and pto switch. There are safety switches involved, mainly for reverse. This is usually a plunger switch and may be stuck. Most tractors have an override button or position on the ignition switch so try with these engaged. If it works the safety swich is your problem. Beyond these simple checks now you are traveling into the realm of electrical diagnostics. Check all connections between the PTO switch, and the ignition and the PTO clutch. Still nothing, you may have a bad clutch. These are expensive and you should have a tech check it before you run out and buy.

On my 42in cut hydro. Husqvarna, The mower will not disengage until the speed is reduced to a low idle

Before you do anything else check to make sure the blades are engaged on thier seat ( the star) and the blade bolts are tight.
If you have an electric PTO this does not apply to you.
After confirming that your blades are tight check the operation of the PTO cable and the pivot bracket by lowering the deck all the way. Laying on the ground on the discharge side of the mower you will be able to look at the components and see and touch whats not moving freely as you engage and disengage the PTO lever. Look for a stiff PTO cable, stiff pivot bracket, missing return spring, broken spindle brackets and broken deck bracket welds.
Of course you should never work on any mechanical device while it is running.

You have a belt adjustment problem, or a broken belt. Look at the area where the belts are, you will probably see problem immediately. Good Luck

Blade on John Deere L110 will not shut off

Check the cable that runs from the acuating lever to the tensioner pulley on your deck it could be broken or frayed. also check the plastic holder on the deck end of the pulley, it fits in a small groove in a brace on the deck and is held in place by a tractor pin. when they removed your deck to sharpen the blades they may not have re-connected it properly or the plastic holder may be broken and not allowing the proper tension on the cable. if your tractor is equipped with a PTO switch near the lever check the connections and the continuity of the switch...hope this helps.... ;-D

I have a craftsman riding lawnmower and the blade engagement is not starting the blades when i lift it. It feels loose when i lift it.

Sounds like you PTO cable is broken. Part # 175067. It goes from the lever on the dash down to a deck mount and hooks to the idler pulley. When you lift the lever, it should pull the pulley and idler arm towards the rear of the deck to tighten the belt to engage the blades.

Cub cadet Z Force 48 inch zero turn blades won't engage

I hope this will help you...under the side panels on each side of the mower, there are "reverse lockout safety switches", they are supposed to stop the blades when both handles are pulled back. If one or both of the switches are out, the deck will not engage. Also, under the right side panel (when sitting on seat) there should be 3 relay switches, the one closest to the motor controls the PTO., if this is out, the PTO will not engage.
