Question about Frigidaire Gallery Series GLHS269ZDB 36" 26.0 Cu. Ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator w/ 7 Button Dispense...
The motor on the ice dispenser unit runs constantly unless I open the door to the freezer. The light on the door dispensing part stays on even in the off position. How can I make it stop? I resorted to keeping the door ajar because the motor had a slight burning smell after running for 6 minutes. The little bar on the outside of the door that you normally have to depress to get ice or water stopped working. Ice kept spraying all over the floor so I removed the ice bucket and put the "arm" in the upright position so it thinks the bucket is full and it won't make more ice. This is a Gallery FRS24XGCD - an oldie but otherwise running excellently.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
