I've worked on one of those about a year ago for a similar problem. May have been a bad solder connection, and possibly some bad capacitors on the power board. Will take a technician to track down.

How do you autoscan the olevia 232 t lcd hdtv? I connected an antenna and using a uneversal remote. it just sits there displaying 'no signal'

In the remote, select the input as antenna. It might be now lying as some other input. Normally the TV itself searches for channels. If it is not, go to menu in the remote control, select install-auto and press ok.

Who services olevia tv

The common parts that go out n the TV is the power supply module and the backlights inverter board, right now the 24vdc power supply section may not be working or the backlight board is bad.
See and learn more here: You can look at the price of the parts at shopjimmy.com

The power supply board went bad. You need to contact the vendor for a replacement. No other easy fix available.

Hdmi cord

the HDMI cable sends all the audio and video down one line, and unscrambles scrambled high def content when required, and fits in the rear of the tv, the slot looks very similair to a usb slot.

If you cable box has an HDMI slot you can use that instead of a scart lead and choose HDMI on your tv output

No signal in hdmi input

I just experienced the same problem after owning the TV for 15 months. Called tech support and they seem to think that it's either a bad inverter or the whole board is bad. I was quoted $100 labor, $600 for a new board, and I would have to cover the shipping cost. Considering that I payed a total of $700 for the unit, that option didn't make much sense to me. I'm going to get a quote from local repair shops and cross my fingers in hopes of the inverter being the problem (tech support informed me that the cost of replacing the inverter alone is much less, but couldn't come up with an exact quote). I hope this helps you guys, and I hope you opted for an extended warranty. I wish I had.
