Bootmgr is missing

when you were uploading your OS and if an HDD or USB was connected or you have a complete system restore lying around somewhere, You're boot mngr is in there . Did you do a clean install? If so than your OEM and Boot options is in an EFI partition hidden on an internal HD and is Linux based. If you go to your MMC console and hit Disc Manager, you'll see something like 100 mb EFI , with no Disk letter assigned and also a MRP, Which is a Microsoft reserved partition.. Kookie stuff goin' on in that ASUS place.

I NEED TO INSTALL NEW OS ,BUT CAN'T CHANGE PRIORITY CD DRIVE ,THERE ARE PASSWORD PROTECT ,AND I TRY TO PRESS CTRL+ESC OR DEL+ F2 ALSO SHOW SHORTLY AND APPEAR BOOTMGR MISSING MESSAGE ,I HAV

BIOS passwords can be reset in two ways:

1. using software 2. using hardware.

I would first try resetting using software, here are two software apps to reset or retrieve BIOS passwords.

!BIOS - is a PC BIOS toolkit offering password removal/decrypt and BIOS settings modification/backup/restore.
You can download it here:

CmosPwd - Cmos password recovery tools

How to fix if he want bootmgr is missing

1.Check the IDE cable of Hard Disk/Optical Drive for any faulty / loose connection.

2.Restart PC. Sometimes it could end automatically after restart.

3. Try the BOOT CD, to boot and check, it could resolve this, or you might have to re-install your OS.

4. Try another Hard Disk, bad sector or any fault in HDD could be the last chance of this problem.

Best of luck.

New hdd with bootmgr missing while trying to install os

Are you sure you are booting from the CD? Does the CD light go on when you reboot? Watch the information on the screen when you reboot, you may have to press the F12 key to get to a boot device list and then select the CD Drive.

If this solves your problem, please take the time to leave feedback.

Bootmgr is missing

You have formatted the HDD in another computer and the “boot manager” was destroyed.
There is no operating system on the HDD and therefore the error message: “BOOTMGR is missing Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart" appears

The second message “PXE-M0F: Existing PXE ROM” says that the notebook tries to boot form the LAN but it’s not able to find an OS using the LAN connection!

Why all this error messages appears?!
Well, I think the CD/DVD drive cannot read the inserted WinXP CD and therefore in switches to LAN.

Note; You can boot from the drive by pressing the “C” button immediately after notebook starting or you will press the F12 to get the booting menu. Then you could choose the ODD as booting source.

If you will be not able to boot from your WinXP CD I assume either the CD is faulty or the CD/DVD drive cannot handle this CD.

Bootmgr is missing, possible loose cables

No. The files on the hard drive the make it boot the OS are corrupt or missing. You need an OS disc to try a repair install. A repair install will leave all you files intact and only repair the OS files. A fresh install or recovery disc will cause you to loose all your info.
