SOURCE: how to convert from lp to ng

I converted a Sam's Club Members Mark grille last year and just did some research on the internet and found a numbered drill size chart that gave me the correct drill size to use on each burner(side, main and rear)for the proper BTU supply for the size or BTU rating for your burner. I drilled them, All has worked well! I know Ducane will tell you not to do that, but I think it is a legal issue. If you have a problem, they don't to get a letter from your lawyer.

SOURCE: burner replacement on Ducane 30400040

Remove the 2 grill wire cooking racks by lifting them out of the top of the grill, next lift out to remove the 3 heat deflector panels which exposes the 3 burner tubes. Remove the 4 screws located on the outside flanks (2 on each side) of the 5-knob control panel assembly - then gently slide the knob control assembly outward and away from the grill just about an inch or two. You can now remove the old burner tubes and replace them with the new units. Then simply slide the control assembly back into the grill frame and replace/tighten the 4 screws. Voila`

Convert gas grill natural

ducane will not make these available anymore because the ducane family no longer owns the company and the models since 2007 are all made in china with poor quality controls. conversions are simple but the parts will not come through ducane or weber. replace the orifice in the tip of every control valve and replace the regulator. that is the only difference in fuel types.

My left burner is much hotter then the right burner on my 1504 Natural Gas Grill. Please adivise

It mat simply be a case of the right burner needs to be removed and thoroughly cleaned as well as the attached venturi valve. Spiders like to build nest in the venturi valve, clogging them so the so the air to gas mixture is off.

Our Ducane older model grill Model #2002SHNE fell over in the wind. All insides fell out. Do not know how to reassemble. Looking for user's manual or someone who could help.

I have searched all my reliable sources, but can not find the Owners Manual for that model Ducane. Gas Grill. The problem is it's just to old. However, Weber bought Ducane in 2000. Possibly, they may still have copies of the Owner's Manual. Call Customer Service 1-800-382-2637.

I have the Ducane Model # 30557501. I have a low flame and the temp will not go above 250 degrees. I've tried resetting the regulator numerous times to no avail. Can I buy a universal regulator or is...

A universal Hose/Regulator Assembly will work just as well as one from Ducane. Actually, they're one in the same. Buying just the regulator is not practical, as you can not disconnect the hose from the regulator without damaging it. You can pickup a Hose/Regulator Assembly from any home center or hardware store that sells grills and accessories for about $30.00. Take your old one with you for comparison purposes.

Hope this helped you and Happy Grilling!!

I actually have a model 1502SHLPE. Both burners

Its the pressure regulator. It's just gone bad. They are not expensive. Your local lowes or home depo should have one. Measure the length of the hose from the pressure regulator to the grill manafold.. Thats the only difference you'll find at the store. Make sure when you install the new one that you use some pipe tape rated for gas and check for leaks with soapy water.

My Ducane grill does not get as hot as I would like for searing steaks. Can I enlarge the ports to allow for a higher tempature?

I wouldn't recommend it. But, removing and cleaning the burners would probably help. Also, allowing more time to preheat the grill with the lid closed would help to.

FYI - Ducane is now owned and manufactured by Weber.

Inside rusted out.

If you mean the burners are rusted out, then yes. You can get replacement burners either through the manufacturer or a big box houseware store that carries Ducane Grills.

How do I install the replacement igniter in my Ducane grill?

you remove the nut in the back of the old igniter and the single wire that plugs into the end.  Then you pull the unit out.
Next, you insert the new igniter and replace the nut and tighten then reinstall the one wire into the end.
