Hello,

yes, it is very possible to carry out the action with Sony VRD-MC10.

Connect a DVD player to the "IN-PUT" of the Sony VRD-MC10. I believe you should know how to do the connection between the Sony VRD-MC10 and any external player.

But if you have any problem with the connections, please let me know.

Good luck.

    Thank you for your suggestion.

We have already burned may DVD's and find the VRD-MC10 quite friendly. The problem we are having is that the DVD's will not play on a standard (non Blu Ray) DVD player if we have started with a Sony camera using video format AVCHD.

I am trying to make a dvd from a HDD video cam to a sony DVDirect recorder VRD-MC3 and a message saying non supported USB devbice keeps comiong up. Can you hellp?

The manual of the DVD doesn't say much for models, say's sony HDD, sony DVD, so maybe it's not compatible. Do you have a memory stick for the handycam ? If you stored the video on the internal storage, check the manual to see if you can move it to the memory stick, then put the stick into the DVD player. Or you will need a PC to transfer it with USB, then get a memory stick and put all the video on in and not internal storage, if the DVD is not compatible with the handycam.

Motorola VIP1216 DVR and Sony VRD-MC5 Connections for Recording?

I have the same problem currently. I have successfully recorded to the Sony CM5 in the past from my DVR, but no longer can. I have Comcast and wonder if they have changed the DVR firmware and blocked output. Also some broadcasts have something in the signal to stop recording. I got half of my program done, and can't record the rest on DVD. I will try to DVR local news, then record to the Sony, to see if it's a signal issue or something with the Sony. I haven't tried to record from a VCR.
