This is why we all stay way from plasma tv.
1) there not the best tv out there.. never was and never will
2) check to make sure that it;s set up right.
3) check to make sure that there nooo other plugs in the wall other then the HDTV...4) i hope that soon or sooner that we all would use 1 HDTV and that is Sony.. :D

now i know my HDTV i worked with them alots of time. and others other thing u have to watch out for is overheating.... if the fan does not kick on then thats the reason why it will not stay on.

Several possible suspects include: power board, main board--first step is test voltages coming out of power board--------remotely possible also is the display itself (panel which is screen unit) if it turns out to be that it is fatal.

Check the power outlet source?Yes,tries tv unplug, replug tv back like about an hour later,by letting the tv resetting itself back to the factory setting. The tv now should be working again. Not than the tv have power supply board problems and causes. That the board, where the power a/c cord plug into it.Try website like Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

I have a 50 inch LG plasma tv that is less than 2 years old. It use to turn on by itself throughout the night, and now it's completely not working???

Hi there
Try doing a system reset on the TV, by unplugging everything from it, then wait 3 minutes and plug the power lead in only. If it works, then plug everything back in one by one. If the problem persists it may be that the software has been corrupted in an update process, which can be performed at night via the aerial signal (this may be why it was turning on at night). In which case contact the TV manufacturer.
Hope this helps

TV turns off by itself & won't turn back on til unplugged, then plugged back in

Well, first your model number is the 42 inch, but I digress...

I had a similar problem with a Viewsonic 27 inch, with the blinking power light on a failed power-up. It turned out that replacing the power transformer was the ticket. However, as I have the 50 inch Panasonic plasma, I know that the transformer is built into the set itself. I'd still suggest that this is what needs replacing though, as this is different from a set being on but having no picture.

On a LCD TV either the lamps might not be coming on or there is a video problem. If unplugging it for 30 seconds then trying again doesn't bring it back then expert help is needed.
