Hello there...

To format your mp3 player please do the following

Connect one end of the USB cable to your player and the other end to an open USB port on your computer. Your computer will recognize the new device.

Double-click "My Computer" on the desktop. You will see your Sansa e280 player's icon listed as a removal disk together with other hard drives on your computer.

Right-click the Sansa e270 icon. Scroll down and click "Format." When the format window opens, click "Start." The formatting will erase any current information on the drive. Depending on the memory capacity, it could be a quick process or take a little longer.

I hope this solves your problem,,,

How do you delete photos from Sansa e200 MP3 Player?

If you go into Windows Media Player, you have to change the Library option from Music to Photos and THEN go into the Sync tab - should now display photos instead of music.

Alternatively, you can double-click My Computer, double-click the icon of the Sansa, and find the images or picture folder - you may have to change your usb mode to msc in order to view this folder (don't forget to change it back later, or not all of your files will show up when you want them to). ONLY delete image files - if you delete system files, your mp3 player will become unusable.

Or, you can follow the method reccomended by your manual - the full user's manual is available from Sanidsk's website:
Delete Photos and Video
The photos are stored in 2 locations on your Sansa…My Album and
Thumbnails. The instructions below for deleting photos and video from your
player were created using Windows XP with Windows Media Player 11.
To delete photos from your Sansa, please execute the following steps:
1) Connect your Sansa e200 to your computer
2) Select Open device to view files using Windows Explorer on initial
connection
3) Click the drive containing your photos
4) Click on the photo folder.
5) Highlight and delete the photos stored in My Computer\Sansa
e200\...\Photo\My Album and My Computer\Sansa
e200\...\Photo\thumbnail\My Album.

This will help.Good Luck.

My device isnt displaying all of the media clips on it?

The Sansa player can hook up to a computer in two different modes. Through normal use it can switch modes on it's own, although rare it can happen. Now stuff added in one mode can not be seen in the other mode and you can not delete the files. So you have MSC mode which means Mass storage class and is the best mode to use. Then MTP mode means Media transfer protocol, you have to use this mode if you use Napster and such to download MP3's with protected content (DRM) you have to set the player to one mode or the other, to see the files and delete the files you want to delete or to find the missing files. MSC makes your player look like a thumb drive, and is easy to use. Another reason you cant see video clips would be due to the extension name of the file. or the type of file it is. The Sansa players can see AVI, MPEG-4 (mp4) video types. If you have a fla video loaded on the player can not see it.,

Unable to upload photos to Sansa View

Download from the sansa support site > http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4431/related/1/kw/media%20converter/r_id/101834 the firmware updater for your player model. The Media Converter is free to use. You can access the converter down load from the updater program. Now also the Sansa player can hook up to a computer in two different modes. Through normal use it can switch modes on it's own, although rare it can happen. Now stuff added in one mode can not be seen in the other mode and you can not delete the files. MSC makes your player look like a thumb drive, and is easy to use. Sansa Media Converter (SMC) software is required to convert and transfer videos and photos (pictures) to your Sansa player. With the player hooked up to the computer via the USB cable. Drag and drop your video into the "video" folder. Be sure the video is converted into the proper file format. Sansa players use the following video and music formats AVI, MPEG-42_bing.gif, MP3.

How do I delete songs or bad files? Is there any

The easiest way to delete songs or files on your Sansa is to connect it to your computer, open up "My Computer", double-click on the Sansa, then find the files inside the Sansa and delete them using Windows Explorer. Note that if these files are also on your computer's hard drive, and you're using a syncing tool (such as Windows Media Player) to sync songs from your computer to your Sansa, they may be copied back on your Sansa next time you sync, so you'll need to either delete or move the songs on your computer's hard drive, as well.

Whether you can repair a bad file depends on the contents of the file and the nature of the damage. If you believe that you have MP3s that are corrupted, there are utilities out there which will attempt to fix them. Google for "repair corrupted mp3" (or substitute "mp3" with whatever file type you're trying to repair) to find these utilities.
