On mine, the lever operates a long rod that runs through the fence. On the fence rear, there is an adjustment screw that sets the clamp tension. If you need any parts, go to: Searspartsdirect.com and enter the complete model number minus the decimal point. Hope this helps!

Clutch goes to floor but will not go in gear when in gear starts but starts moving with clutch still pushed to floor

Either the clutch needs replacing or the cable needs adjusting.
First thing is to try and adjust it if possible.
Get someone to press and release the clutch pedal while you are looking in the engine compartment and see if you can locate the actuation mechanism. You should see the clutch lever being moved back and forth. Once located and you see which way everything moves, get the person to stop pressing the pedal. On the cable that moves the lever should be 2 nuts (one of which is a locking nut that prevents the the one nearest the lever from moving). Loose of the locking nut off and start tightening the other one up. The person in the car may see the pedal start rising up. Tighten up and try the clutch again. Keep adjusting until it feels okay whilst driving. Finally tighten the lock nut down to the adjusting nut to prevent it from loosening off over time. If there is not enough adjustment possible it may require a new cable.

Skilsaw 7 1/4 saw depth locking lever will not tighten even when all the wsy dn. Can it be adjusted?

Take a look at the hinged part of the locking lever, usually there is a nut and bolt, looses the nut, open the lock all the way, tighten the nut and see if this helps. You may not like the position that it locks in, so then loosen it again and open half way, then tighten and check to see where it locks again. The lever may have a cam or tapered part that forces pressure on things to lock it. Examine it and find out how the lock works and then adjust it appropriately.

The three point hitch up down lever moves as tractor is moving, handle/lever very loose.how can i tighten it up?,

I'd try to get a repair manual. MFG customer service may also be helpful, email or call.
manualslib.com may have it. There may be a locking nut that has come loose, and therefore the nut that holds it tight has also come loose. Follow the lever to where it attaches at a pivot point. Look for loose and nut to tighten.

How do you adjust clutch?

On your bike it should be right there at the clutch lever. There should be a large round adjuster lock, screwed onto the actual adjuster. If it is too loose,..loosen the large round nut,and screw the small tube portion out (away from lever) untill it leaves a slight amount of play...about 1/8th of and inch, Then re-tighten the large round locknut. If its too tight,..loosen large locknuut, and screw small portion of adjuster in (towards lever) untill the correct slack is in the lever, then tighten the locknut.

The slider on the right side of my mixerthat locks down the mixer head will not slide all the way over, thus I cannot lock down the mixer head, it keeps popping up as I use the mixer.

Get a copy of the Repair Part List for your model at Kitchenaid.com.
About one inch to the lower right of the Latch Lever (17) is the
Latch Bearing Screw (15). Use a small flat head screwdriver and
tighten that screw. Just don't tighten too much or the Latch (10)
won't be able to move up and down as intended.

2005 Harley Davidson FLHTCUI Electra Glide Ultra Classic clutch adjustment ?

To adjust the clutch, first find the clutch cable adjuster. It should be somewhere along the downtube of the frame in front of the engine. Slide the rubber bellows cover either up or down to expose the adjuster. Loosen the lock nut and turn the adjuster inwards shortening the cable as much as possible.

Remove the Derby cover from the primary cover. In the middle of the clutch assembly is an adjuster bolt and a lock nut. Loosen the lock nut and turn the adjust inwards until you feel a resistance. Don't not force the adjuster, go inwards until you feel the resistance of the throwout bearing on the other side. Try it a couple of times until you get the feel of it. Go inwards until you feel the resistance and then come back out 1/2 to 1 full turn. Lock the lock nut down and replace the derby cover.

Then go back to the cable aduster and and adjust the cable adjuster out until you have about an 1/8" freeplay at the lever. Lock that lock nut down and reposition the bellows cover.

Good Luck
Steve

How do I adjust the parking brake cable on a 1991

If the car has a center console between the seats, and the e-brake lever is there, remove the console there should be a bolt to tighten or loosen. Loosen it with the lever DOWN, pull the cable as tight as it will go with your hand and a pair of pliers. Holding the cable in place tighten the bolt or nut that secures the cable. If this doesn't fix it, have your rear brakes inspected and/or adjusted.

How are the front brake on a rebel adjusted

There should be a knurled barrel adjuster on the brake lever. Unscrew it some and your brakes should "tighten." When you have 'em where you want 'em, screw the lock ring (the big round thing on that barrel adjuster) back down against the brake lever, locking it in position.

If you can't get it tightened enough that way, you'll need to take slack out of the cable at the brake itself. Loosen the nut that holds the end of the cable in place and pull the cable tight, then tighten the nut back up. You can then fine tune using the barrel adjuster on the brake lever.

Bevel locking lever won't tighten

It looks like that handle should be able to pull straight off the end of the shaft once you remove the screw. See this exploded parts view: http://www.makita.com/en-us/Assets/images/Products/_PartsBreakdowns/PB_2703.pdf

My experience with them is that people tend to get frustrated and abandon the lock lever and just run the saw "loose". Scary as it sounds, I've seen it on more than one site.

Anyway, I don't have a fix for you if you can't get the handle off to re-position it.
Makita does have a tech support line if you want to give it a try. Otherwise, you may have to shell out a few bucks to one of their service centers. We used to have a great one in Albuquerque, but it's now defunct. People don't seem to repair tools like they used to...

I need help on how to replace bit on router craftsman style

You didn't state the model number. The older Craftsmen routers had a red lever lock on the top of the router, one position allows the spindle to turn, the other position locks the spindle. Here's the instruction for the older style routers:

  1. Unplug the tool.
  2. To lock the spindle press the red button in and slide it to the locked position.
  3. Unlock the height adjustment knob.
  4. Raise the router motor using the height adjustment collar until you can get a wrench onto the collet nut.
  5. Loosen the nut until it turns freely.
  6. The bit may still be locked in the spindle, tap it gently (not on the blade!).
  7. The bit will come loose in the spindle and can be removed.
  8. Replace the bit, tighten the nut snug but don't use excessive force.
  9. Unlock the spindle, returning the red lever/button to the free position.
  10. Adjust the height of the bit as you wish, then lock down the motor using the locking knob.
