Not solved yet, working on it

  • Anonymous Jul 03, 2010

This did not work but with changing it somewhat, it did come up with a different error, connection to server interrupted. Maybe that can be fixed.

  • Anonymous Jul 03, 2010

Please help me to fix this problem, I cannot even send you an email.

  • Anonymous Jul 04, 2010

Okay, I did everything you said and now it is saying that outlook cannot connect to your outgoing email server. Contact service provider.

530 Authentication required means that your e-mail service needs an authentication.

All you have to do is to change the Outgoing server smtp. Usually, email clients uses port 25 as the outgoing port, and that is by default. You can change it to 465 or 587.

Here's how:
1. Open your Outlook 2007 > Tools > Account settings.
2. Double-click your account > click on "More Settings" button.
3. Go to the "Advanced" tab > change the port from 25 to 465.
4. If port 465 did not work, click the drop-down menu for the "use the following type of encrypted connection:", and select SSL
5. Click OK > Next > Finish.
6. Try to send a test mail.

If that did not work, change the smtp from 465 to 587 and set the encryption to "None".

Thank you and good luck!

Thanks but it did not work. When I changed it to 465, it said, connection to server interrupted. I tried the other 587 as well, no luck. I am soooo frustrated.

  • Anonymous Jul 03, 2010

Kindly try to change the outgoing smtp from 587 to 2525. Make sure that the encryption is set to None.

The error "connection was interrupted" has nothing to do with your email. It has something to do with the internet connection. The internet connection is a bit intermittent, that's why you're getting this error.

If port 2525 will not work, set the encryption to SSL.

    Thank you!

Okay, can you send me your complete email address (the one associated with Outlook 2007).

I will check the outgoing mail server. There could be a possibility that the ports are properly setup, but the outgoing server is incorrect. You have to make sure that you type your complete email address in the user name field. Then try to re-type your e-mail password. Password is a case sensitive.

    Thanks.

When I scan a document in the computer and want to email it to some-one I have this message "530 authentification required...

FixYa might think after someone has answered or solved the problem you might disappear.

How much $ are the charges to register ?.

Error 530 occur when you use a laptop on a network that is not your own. You can receive emails, but you cannot send them. Some wireless Internet service providers block Port 25 because they think you are a spammer sending malicious emails. Here are a few tips to get around Error 530.

Open Microsoft Outlook. In the "Tools" menu, navigate to "Accounts," "Server" and then "Advanced." Observe the SMTP port setting. If it says "25," change it to "587." Press "Apply," and then click "OK." Exit Outlook, restart your computer and reopen Outlook. Send an email to ensure that your email goes through the system. Attempt an alternative solution. Inside Outlook, select the "Tools" menu, click "Account Settings" and "More Settings." Check the "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" option. Exit Outlook, restart your computer and reopen Outlook. Send an email to see if your email goes through the system. Consider temporarily using web-based email instead of Outlook. For example, if you have a Yahoo! email address and normally access your email through Outlook, open a web browser and type "http://mail.yahoo.com" instead. Check with your specific email provider to see if webmail is available and what address to use. Hope this helps.

The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's e-mail address. The sender's e-mail address was '[email protected]'. Subject '', Account: 'pop.attyahoo.com', Server:...

One problem is that the incoming (POP) mail server shown in the error message appears to be incorrect. The server address should be "pop.att.yahoo.com" (with a period between "att" and "yahoo"). The incorrect mail server address may interfere with authentication of the sender's email address, which is needed before the outgoing message is sent.

The "530 authentication" message indicates your outgoing (SMTP) server likely requires "server authentication". Also, the "Port 25" message indicates your email program is currently trying to send via Port 25, with no SSL; but Ameritech/Yahoo accounts appears to use Port 465 with SSL enabled.

See more on sever settings for "ameritech.net" users:
http://www.dslreports.com/faq/5535
https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/61941/~/i886---at%26t,-bellsouth,-sbcglobal,-ameritech-email-settings

I would suggest you check the settings for your Ameritech email account in your email program. You may need to correct several settings. The steps to access account settings are somewhat different for various email programs (Outlook, Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird, etc.). You should be able to find guidance in the "help" section of your email program.

I get sending error 0x800ccc80 when trying to send messages...But all messages are send once or twice a day at random times...otherwise they sit in the outbox

Outlook 2007 is stricter than 2003 about SMTP authentication. It could be the case that 2003 tried automatically to connect without authentication when authentication failed, while 2007 throws an error.

Please verify the settings for authentication in your account, and uncheck the box “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication", on the "Outgoing Server" tab.

I cant send an email from outlook it keep saying 530 authentication required

This error indicates that sending mail via your mail server requires a username and password (this is not the default setting).

Check with your mail providor for the proper settings for sending e-mail.

This is a common issue and will very likely be documented on their suport web page. You did not mention which version of Outlook. If you have Outlook 2003 or even 2007, see th following tuturial and pay attention to slide 16 &17 as this is how to enable outgoing authentication.

Hope this helps,

Outlook express

0x800CCC78 SMTP_REJECTED_SENDER Unknown sender. This is caused by having the incorrect e-mail address in the Reply-To field.

You may have to authenticate in outlook express by putting in the SMTP server name of your internet provider instead of yahoo
for example
Incoming = smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Outgoing = smtp.yourISPservername
Some isp's will not let you send out with a different smtp server than theirs.
It's why you can receive but not send.
