SOURCE: No audio on my thinkpad x32! No drivers (audio

There is a mute button, which mutes the speakers and internal headphone output on ThinkPads. however, this doesn't remove drivers from your thinkpad. you may try removing the docking station, then reinstall audio drivers first, test internal speakers and connect dock later.
post back for followup.

Im trying to hook up to the internet to my old thinkpad X32 i used a modem didnt work and i noticed that its wireless its at the points when it says activate windows plzzzz help.

Hi,

When Windows starts asking for it to be activated, some of the functions of the computer are being disabled. What you need to do is to reinstall Windows by using your IBM ThinkPad X32 Recovery Disk. The Recovery Disk for your computer has a pre-registered and pre-activated Windows. Call IBM/Lenovo at 18774536686 to hopefully further widen your options. You might spend $40~$60 to resolve this issue.

I hope this works for you. Kindly reply/comment for further assistance. Good Luck!

My IBM X32 not Power On

Make sure that the battery has voltage, remove the adaptor and check for the voltage at the leads. If there is no voltage then the adaptor would have failed.
If there is voltage then the possibility of a failure in the main board must be checked which means the notebook must be opened.-- only if the warranty period is over and is you are familiar with electronics.

My previously healthy Thinkpad T42, will not post.

Hi,
The Thinkpad T42 doesn't have a reset button on it like the older IBM's used to.

There could be a problem with the battery. With the machine turned off remove AC power and then the battery. Plug in AC power again and see if the laptop will boot without the battery.
If it boots let it load up as normal and then shut it down again, reinsert the battery and try to boot it up. If it boots fine, if not then there is a problem with the battery.

Please post back if you need anymore advice.

Good luck.

When i switch on the my thinkpad it starts to boot up then the screen goes blank the battery light goes orange and and flashes and it makes a cranking noise.

Is the Battery making the cranking noise? If so the battery is telling you the battery is dying. I have a IBM ThinkPad 380Z and when on the charger it makes a beeeeep noise and goes off and on for almost the entire day and then stops and keeps a solid orange battery light on.
Try booting without battery

Boot sequence

161 and 163 error means you have to change your CMOS battery. open the laptop, change the cmos battery and you should be able to set the date and time.

after which you can access the bios by pressing F1 upon boot up and change the boot sequence after that
