On the white roomba 530 - does not fill big dust cup anymore

Does not fill big dust cup anymore, just the one where the paper filter is - is something not working right, or low battery, or what?

Why does robot roomba 530 repeatedly stop and say to clean brushes

I think it's telling you to flip it over, open up the brush compartment, take the brushes out, remove everything wrapped around them, replace them and close it up. I suspect that your brushes are wrapped up with something.

Next open up the filter compartment, dump it into the trash, pop or slide out the filter and bang it into the trash can. Give it a quick rinse in the sink to wash off the fine dust still on the filter. Let it dry and insert it back into the filter compartment.

My 530 roomba just spins no beeps nothing like that just spins why won't it go anywhere anymore.. cleaned it

Your bump sensors are malfunctioning. I had the same problem. The best thing to do is order a repair kit. I ordered mine from EESolutions.ca and it worked great. I'd recommend.

Machine just rotates same spot in a circle

I just repaired my 530 roomba last night. I used a sewing machine brush and cotton swabs. On the bottom of the roomba there is a face plate with four screws. Loosen each of these four screws and remove the face plate. DUST EVERY OPENING YOU CAN SEE, but do it gently. Use NO chemicals. Then there is the area that holds in the brush and roller cartridge. Again, loosen those four screws and remove the corner brush's screw and completely remove that little brush. Then you will carefully remove the "case" holding the brush and roller cartridge.DUST EVERY OPENING YOU CAN SEE. Wipe all the silver contact points..plates on the bottom of roomba and one inside the brush and roller cartridge. At this point, I dampened a paper towel ever so slightly with some window cleaner and wiped and dried those contact points. Then using the brush attachment on my vacuum I gently went over all areas of the body of the roomba to dislodge even more dust. Once that is done, reattach all the parts in the reverse order of how you removed them. I charged my roomba overnight and this morning she was charged and worked as if she were brand new! I hope this helps. If my solution works for you, please contact FIXYA and rate my advice.

Does not pick up dust

Check that the vacuum motor runs. Check the air passages for clogging. Is the filter plugged? Hope this helps!

No sution

Remove the dust bin and disassemble it clean out all lint and dust that could stop the impeller from turning. Once it is cleaned out test the fan motor with a powersupply on the terminals to see if the fan turns. If it does not, then replace the fan unit.

Roomba 530

The horizontal spinning side brush is a known failure item in those units. Chances are the side brush motor has gone bad. Check first to make sure that the motor isn't just bound up with hair or something.
Fortunately, it's easy to replace and relatively inexpensive.. See this video link on iRobot's site: http://www.irobot.com/hrd_right_rail/roomba_rr/roomba_fam/RoombaFam_rr_howitworks.html

Click on the bottom link in that video to see how to remove the bottom plate and remove that side brush motor with just 2-3 screws. New motors are available from iRobot for $15 or from places like www.RoboticVacParts.com for ~ $10 links here:

Roomba brushes won't spin

I had this problem with my Roomba Discovery. I ran across your question while searching for an answer. My main symptoms were, Roomba hesitated a lot, and the dust bin did not fill. I had plenty of hair wrapped around the brushes and against the filter.
I just finished taking my Roomba apart. I found the motor drive shaft had a LOT of hair wrapped around it and it had climkbed into my gearbox. I took that apart and cleaned all the hair out of the gearbox. My Roomba is back to normal now, filling the dust bin.
