Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. From what you have described it seems to be the Thermal fuse that has gone bad. The thermal fuse is mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. When this fuse goes bad it should be replaced as it cannot be repaired. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Dryer knob won't advance when set on sensor drying but will on timed drying

Hello. The dryer has a pair of sensor bars mounted on the front of the filter holder. They look like long metal rails(about 6 inches or so) and are about 1/2 inch apart. When the wet clothes touch these rails, they electrically short across them, which then tells the control board to keep drying--the clothes are wet. As the water is removed from the clothes, this "keep going" signal gets less and less, causing the dryer to count down and eventually stop. There might be a problem with the wires going to these sensor bars or with the control board. If the dryer keeps going and won't shut off during "sensor dry" the wires could be shorted or the control board might have a loose connector or is defective. Since the unit is so new, the chances of lint build-up being the culprit is remote.

Dryer keeps blowing 30 amp fuses

usually one of 2 things, either the 240volt heating element is shorting out to the element housing or the dryer drum motor has bad windings or the end bearings are dried out causing the motor to work harder and draw excessive current to start and keep running

Roper elec dryer starts and runs for 10 sec then stops runnning

Hi

If the dryer is not drying the clothes then you would need to check for the following things-

1. Inspect the fuses and circuit breakers they may have burned out or tripped. Usually, dryer will still tumble but not create heat if a fuse or a circuit breaker is not working.
2. Check for the amp reading at 240 V, it should have reading of 24, 21 and 3 amp (approx.) for 2 lines and neutral respectively.
3. Heating element may have turned or the connection to the element might be loose. Sometimes a shorted circuit element will keep on blowing the fuse or circuit breaker.
4. Motor wiring shorting to ground.

Hope this helps...

Fisher & Paykel Auto Sensor Dryer stops & beeps constantly

Hi emkboyce

my Fisher Paykel auto sensor dryer keeps stopping and beeping, i have to stop it and and re start.

I had the same problem. I took it off the wall and vacuumed up all the lint from everywhere including around the back and including taking off the back and vacuuming everything I could reach inside. I then used a damp cloth to get rid of the rest of the lint/dust.

I thought I was wasting my time but guess what, the problem has gone.

Good luck!

The timer is bad. It is located behind the knobs and can be replaced really easily. The price for a new timer is about 35 dollars. If this helped please rate

Neptune Dryer Time keeps going forever

your problem is most likely an issue with the start button. if it is stuck, the dryer will keep running even though it has passed the off position. your start switch probably needs replaced. Joe

Have a kenwood kac849 600w amp keep blowing fuse on amp as soon as power is too it power wire got wet and now this can i bypass that fuse some how

It would be very dangerous to bypass a fuse. If it keeps blowing, bypassing the fuse will only create lots of internal damage and maybe a fire as well. The fuse is blowing for a reason, the amplifier is not going to somehow start working because you bypassed the fuse. You also need to stop trying to turn it on, every time it blows the fuse, it keeps stressing the components inside. You have a shorted power supply, probably water damage as well since the power wire got wet.

I repair car amplifiers for a living, and can tell you with all honesty that bypassing the fuse would be a terrible mistake to make, the amplifier would end up being un-fixable with holes burned right into the board.

Please, just take it in for service or get a new amplifier. That is the only sensible thing to do. The amp will not start working bypassing the fuse, it will only start smoking.
