Hi,
Does camera show any blinking error code in lcd when flash does not work?
If it does not show any blinking error code then it would be cracked wire issue that connects flash charging circuit in camera body and flash bulb that pop up. That connecting wires got cracked and flash stop working.
Local camera repair shop will replace that cracked wire to solve the issue.
Let me know if you have additional question.
Thanks.

Flash stopped working even when it pops up

Try going into the settings, look for something called "factory settings /factory reset) This will not erase the pictures on your memory card. But it will set up the camera the way it is soposed to be. If this does not work, the flash is propably burned out. Best of Luck !

Dropped my DSC-H20 and the lens will not retract. Any ideas other than sending in for repair?

Hi,

Sorry there is no alternative other than having it repaired. This is because there are very small and delicate parts inside. You would have to have nerves of steel if you were to try and repair it yourself.

Regards.

Photo shots: the pictures look as if a super flash wash used, even when flash is not used. Movies are o.k.

Hi,
It is problem of ccd imager chip in DSC-T1 camera that gives you washed out still image after taking shot/ stored image, you may get live view correct in camera mode and movie but it saves taken still picture over bright etc.
Replace ccd imager chip by local camera repair shop to solve this issue.
Thanks.

I have dropped camera once, since after while clicking pictures at night in absolute dark, several round white small circles or spots are appearing on the image. But in full light area and in daylight...

Are these flash pictures? Are the spots in different places on each picture? If the answer to both questions is yes, the spots are dust particles in the air reflecting the flash back into the lens.

Dsc-t1 Pictures taken inside are dark. Flash is working but red light by reset button flashes when taking pictures and I haven't noticed that before.

There may be the issue with the CCD (image sensor device) of the Camera.

Refer this article to confirm this.

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/news-item.pl?mdl=DSCT1&news_id=161

Check whether the LCD screen of the Camera looks similar as given on the page.

If yes, click on the "Yes" button at the end of the page to create an onlineRepair Request for sending the Camera to the Sony Factory ServiceCenter.

Flash doesn't work on my F707

I hate to take you for an idiot but does the screen display the lightning icon or anything in the top left corner? If the lightning is in a circle it means its off.
