Cant the hard drive be reprogrammed or checked while its in the copier

On some copied the driver is'reprogrammed (system reinsalled) when inside the printer. If you have the service manual check if there is a service reset procedure, do that one first.

Problem with the hard disk


Check to see if sd card for print and scan are installed on side of copier. Could be bad or missing. Go into user tools and see if they show up in display. If copier comes up in copy mode the hard drive is probably ok, try going to address book User tool/counter button then system tools then administrator then scroll to address book click on it. If you can do that then hard drive is ok.

Erase hard drive hp1055


In service test menu scroll to "3.Hard disc drive", & press enter, if test drive passed don't replace the hard disc or modification or changes. If test failed then check as shown below:
1 Switch the printer OFF. Remove the EIO Card (if installed) and re-install the Hard Disk Drive making sure it installed correctly by pushing it firmly inwards and checking that the two installation screws are completely tightened. Switch the printer ON again and repeat the Hard Disk Drive Test. If the Hard Disk Drive Test fails again then replace the Hard Disk Drive.
2 If the Hard Disk Drive Test passed after removing the EIO Card,then switch the Printer OFF and reinstall the EIO Card, making sure that the two installation screws are completely tightened.
Switch the Printer ON again and repeat the Hard Disk Drive Test. If the Hard Disk Drive Test fails, then the EIO Card could be faulty.Replace the EIO Card.
3 If the Hard Disk Drive Test continues to fail after replacing the EIO card or the Hard Disk Drive, then replace the Electronics Module..

Replace removed hard drive ,cost?


The hard drive is on the back side of the copier behind the rear panel. The hard drive is not expensive, the problem is getting the hard drive flashed with the correct software. Also, it is a older copier... It may not be worth repairing????? Good Luck

please format the hard drive by holding down the 0+8 buttons while switching on the machine when in test mode key in 690 press the start button make sure the number 2 is displayed when finished switch off and wait awhile then switch on if the machine still gives the error replace the hard drive and do the firmware good luck

there is a hard drive on the printer board. open the back cover, on the down right side there is big vertical printer board(where u connect printer or lan cable).detach mounting screws and detach its connectors,then open the board cover u"ll find hadr drive there.

sc 366 is hard disk drive bad sector will need to call in a engineer to fix this problem might need a new hard disk if he cant format it make sure you always shut the machine down correctly switching it off in correctly causes this fault to occur

HP 8550 not printing


Disconnect your network cable and printer's hard drive and then power on. Its possible there is a stuck job somewhere.

If that doesn't work, believe or not it could be the fuser.
