Question about Kodak EASYSHARE M340 Digital Camera

1 Answer

I have a Kodak Easyshare M340 that fell in a pool. I took the battery out over night to let it dry out. A light in the front turns on and it makes whirring noises. Can it still function? I don't know if it matters, but my camera is silver. I only selected the red since that's all the Product line had.

Stop trying to get it to work!!! You're probably frying the circuits. Bury the camera in a bowl of dry rice for a week and then try to turn it on.(however, it may be too late). '

Maybe, the batteries need to be changed to new ones.
Try to use Li ion batteries as recommended by Kodak.

Lens problem

Sorry, but there's not a safe or sure DIY fix for the lens problem, and any attempts at a homebrew repair will likely make things worse. Your camera needs professional attention, so I suggest that you take it to a local camera shop (NOT the camera department at a chain store) or contact the factory support folks via the Kodak.com web site to arrange repairs. Be sure to get a firm price, not just an estimate, before you commit to anything. Cost for the fix can approach the price of a new camera, and repairs typically only carry a 30-day warranty.
