get the on screen menu up and look for the area transmission format
Australia is PAL

When selecting a country, chose Australia not the UK as Australia broadcast in VHF, whereas the UK do not. Then hit the search button and it should pick up the 4 Irish channels, no problem.

The world has been fenced off into areas by these manufacturers, and you Aus DVD is security locked to Code 4.
The UK has a different Area code, and your Samsung was setup to play only DVD,s sold in Europe.
However a knowledgeable friend with a computer can play another areas disk by changing the area code in the computer.

bought in the UK? youn need to turn it upside down to work here and pull the wool off its eyes when in NZ

check that the battery is fully charged on AC before running it on DC. That can give you erratic directions if not fully charged and coinstantly dying. The pull is greater than the reserve charge input.
TomTom Claim ww warranty but its not quite true! The only place in NZ is Auckland from memory and it ould take up to 30 days.

have you tried to go into the menu of the program you are using to down load the movie they have an options tab and you set it to region4 for australia. hope this helps you.

I beieve you have a TV standards prolem. According to the chart available at the website below, the UK is PAL I and the Aussies use PAL B/G. So if you bought a TV in Australia and are using the DVD Combo from the UK I think you are out of luck. A reputable TV repair shop would be able to answer further questions about this without charge.
