Question about Jandy Aqualink - Rs24 One Touch Pool / Spa Combination Control System
I installed the Jandy OneTouch PCB Subassembly Display, part # R0550700 and it is simple 4 low voltage wires color coded and the Display has matching color codes. It lit up put all I got was (at the top) Firmware Rev B13 and then small xxxxx the rest of the screen down. I tried the reset button and I tried turning on and off the breakers outside still the same.
The outside controller (by Jacuzzi) is and always has been working (before the change and after the change) and those wires go into the main circuit board (outside by pool equipment) the same as the ones from the new Display. So I do not know if there is some combination of the keypad buttons that should be pressed to get to the main menu or out of the “Firmware Rev B13 and then small xxxxx the rest of the screen down” to a main menu? Can you provide any help?
There are some differences in the boards and similarities such as the new board has PCB7750F and the old PCB7750C the new has REV M 39/09 and the old REV D4601on both Multiple Control Panel S. And hand written on the old back is J1 R with a circle around it.
I figured this was just a newer model since mine was installed July 2003 and I am not sure of the manufacture date. Is there an install manual to refer to online? I just started looking but no luck so far. I did not leave the new one hooked up very long for fear it might get damaged maybe 30 seconds to one minute. All the lights came on just the main menu screen never came up. Maybe I should hook it up for a few minutes to set itself?
Before I bought this I did have a technician come out and they told me the Display board was bad and to order one. Any help is greatly appreciated.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Pull the cover off the control panel. You will probably find a button which would be accessible from outside the panel with a paper clip or pencil but is unlabeled. On the board itself by the button, in small letters it should say "reset". Push the button and see what happens.

I' m having the exact same problem, where the panel lights up and is non-responsive. Did you ever find a solution?
