Help with installing or setting up Jandy OneTouch PCB Subassembly

I installed the Jandy OneTouch PCB Subassembly Display, part # R0550700 and it is simple 4 low voltage wires color coded and the Display has matching color codes. It lit up put all I got was (at the top) Firmware Rev B13 and then small xxxxx the rest of the screen down. I tried the reset button and I tried turning on and off the breakers outside still the same. The outside controller (by Jacuzzi) is and always has been working (before the change and after the change) and those wires go into the main circuit board (outside by pool equipment) the same as the ones from the new Display. So I do not know if there is some combination of the keypad buttons that should be pressed to get to the main menu or out of the “Firmware Rev B13 and then small xxxxx the rest of the screen down” to a main menu? Can you provide any help? There are some differences in the boards and similarities such as the new board has PCB7750F and the old PCB7750C the new has REV M 39/09 and the old REV D4601on both Multiple Control Panel S. And hand written on the old back is J1 R with a circle around it.

I figured this was just a newer model since mine was installed July 2003 and I am not sure of the manufacture date. Is there an install manual to refer to online? I just started looking but no luck so far. I did not leave the new one hooked up very long for fear it might get damaged maybe 30 seconds to one minute. All the lights came on just the main menu screen never came up. Maybe I should hook it up for a few minutes to set itself?
Before I bought this I did have a technician come out and they told me the Display board was bad and to order one. Any help is greatly appreciated.

SOURCE: I have Jandy RS4 system with 4-button poolside

Pull the cover off the control panel. You will probably find a button which would be accessible from outside the panel with a paper clip or pencil but is unlabeled. On the board itself by the button, in small letters it should say "reset". Push the button and see what happens.

It sounds like the unit itself may be out. The acid test would to be to get hold of a new one and switch them out. See if you can find a local pool company to work on that for you.

Connecting problems

Installation
The scripts communicate with the Jandy system through a USB Serial Adaptor (e.g. the Keyspan USA-19HS USB Serial Adapter) connected to the Jandy Aqualink RS Serial Adaptor.

In order to use these scripts with SerialX, you will need to separately download and install SerialX as a Scripting Addition. As currently written, you will also need to determine the exact name of your serial connection and edit the following statement in both scripts:

property SerialConnectionName : "/dev/cu.USA19H47P1.1" -- Replace "dev/cu.USA19H47P1.1" with the name of your USB Serial Adaptor.

After editing, drag the Jandy Aqualink attachment script into the folder: /Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 4/Scripts/Attachments
and the Jandy Aqualink background sync script into the folder: /Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 4/Scripts/Background Tasks
Initiating use of the background script is typically accomplished by establishing a Trigger Action that activates on Indigo Server restart.

Usage
Assumes a Jandy Aqualink RS-4 or RS-8 Pool/Spa combination with auxiliary 1 set for pool light and auxiliary 2 set for spa light.

Unlike the previous version, the background script will now automatically execute periodically after being initiated (typically with a Trigger Action that activates on Indigo startup), will create variables as needed, and will update the status of those variables. By default the updates occur every 30 sec for most items using a single "#LEDS?" command, and every 30 min for the temperatures, with error detection if something does not update correctly. If the Spa is heating, temperature updates default to every 2 min. Variables created include AirTemp, ErrorFree, NextTempUpdate, PoolHeatEna, PoolHeatOn, PoolLightOn, PoolPumpOn, PoolSetPoint, PoolStateOn, PoolTemp, SpaHeatEna, SpaHeatOn, SpaLightOn, SpaSetPoint, SpaStateOn, SpaTemp.
