If you have an on board fuse it will be very small and near where the plug goes in the machine but unless you can get to it without stripping the machine don't even try, remember that it is quite easy to blow the boards from static from your body.

Replace fuse

Because of the noise it sounds like a motor problem! The fuse is in the mains plug and is easily replaced!

Bernina 180E Touch Screen Dark, machine light won't come on.

I don't know the circuit of this sewing machine but it gives me the impression the light and the board are in series with a fuse. If this is true the light will burn out and cause the screen to go black as well. If the fuse would go out the same thing would be true. Anyway, change the light first. If this doesn't work you will need to replace the fuse. If there are still problems it will need the mother board to be replaced. Tell me how this worked out.

My machine shows an error number E1what is it

The error code 1 indicates the fuse on the A board has blown. The fuse should be replaced with a part number 000182177 fuse. The original fuse is a 2.5 amp fuse and the replacement fuse is 3.15 amps.
You should take the sewing machine to a Sears service center or a retail store for repair.

Husqvarna Emerald 203 sewing machine. LCD panel and light are on, 120volts to machine, petal was checked with multimeter and is ok. Front panel will not respond to any button being pushed nor will motor...

Not a solution, sorry but needing one too.
I've had this same problem, twice. The first time, a fuse was replaced and since it's under warranty, dealer paid for it.
Tomorrow I'll be picking it up for the second time, and this time I had to shell out $89!!
Does anyone know where that fuse is? Don't want to go spending more hard earned $$

Hi, My Bernina Artista 180 sewing machine stopped working last night - during a storm - and I would like to check the fuse before taking it in to be serviced. We have exposed the Mother board but can...

There are two fuses on the 'L'-print power-supply module - this is in a separate compartment on the back panel, secured by a single long screw. These are both glass fuses and you MUST use the correct type if one has blown. Unfortunately, I have had a couple of this family of machines that have been subjected to mains glitches during local storms and it has taken-out the secondary power-supply on the main processor board 'S'-Print, which requires a very expensive replacement of the whole board. Symptoms of this type of damage range from intermittent 're-booting' of the machine, to complete failure, usually identified by the backlight on the display still being on without any displayed data, but the sewing light is off.

Locating fuse for the above

Which make a model is this? The line fuse should be located after the 120VAC line enters the sewing machine. Without knowing what model it is i can only give limited help. Unplug unit from the wall, and gain access to where the power cord enters the sewing machine chassis. There should be an internal fuse located shortly after. Let me know what model it is if what I have already said doesn't help you out.

E2 Error

I had the same problem before. Couldn't figure it out since it was not listed in the booklet. It was time for me to have the my machine maintenance and so decided for Sears to do the job. They replace a fuse from behind the touch control panel. If you know someone or yourself to be mechanically gifted, you can replace the fuse that cost about $2-5. Someone stated RADIO SHACK have them also. Check to see what type of fuse. Either 2.5A or AC 250v 3.15A. There are about 2-3 fuses behind that touch control panel. The moveable ones can be replaced, but DON'T touch the permanent wired ones. I haven't opened it myself, but read and heard about it.

Fuse keeps blowing.

We just found the fuse!! You need several kinds of screwdrivers and loosen the bottom. Then the side piece has one screw that holds it on and we had trouble getting that off but eventually I just held it differently from my husband and it came off so easily. We finally got to the black plastic box that is held on the bottom with two screws and 3 clips of wires. Once we got that loose there were two more covers to take off until we finally found the two fuses! My husband is on his way to Radio Shack now to get a couple 3 amp fuses. It's obviously blown - so we trust this will work once we get all the screws back in the right place!
