Question about LG LFX21960 Stainless Steel Bottom Freezer French Door Refrigerator

1 Answer

Lights don't come on

I actually have a LSX21960ST. The lights don't come on. I replaced both bulbs and the switches still cause the door open alarm to sound when they are open.
My wife said at one point, the lights were flashing off and on when the door was open. Now they don't come on at all.
Any advice would be appreciated.

The door open alarm keeps beeping after the door is closed.

open the doors and press the door switch to see of it is operating the lights, if there is no effect when pressing the switch, replace it. the lights being left on while the doors are closed will cause the compressor and light bulbs to do battle as the comp. tries to cool and the bulbs heat the food compartment.

Have beeping noise can I unplug something to fix the problem 2002 kia Sedona

Beeping noise is the car alarm system for door open, key in the hole and the engine is off, parking lights are on and the door is open.

If the beeping sound can be heard while the doors are all closed properly, no lights are on, the key is not in the ignition switch, then one of these systems (doors, lights, accessories) are grounded.

You have to eliminate the cause one by one starting with the door switches which is the most likely cause, followed by the key in the switch sensor found at the base of the ignition switch (you have to open the steering wheel cover to check) and then lastly check that no lights are on when you close the door.

the alarm emitter is found at the end of the console box right below the car radio system.

My light doesnt come on when i break the sensor....and my learn light blinks none stop

Random blinking of the learn light is normal.

To have your lights come on automatically when you walk into an open garage, you must START with the lights ON. If you don't want that feature and you want to turn it off, you must START with the lights OFF.

To turn the feature on, turn the lights on manually with the wall switch, then press and hold the LIGHT button for about 10 seconds until the motor unit light bulbs flash. Now, if the light bulbs are on, manually turn them out and then walk out through the open door. The light bulbs should come on.

To disable this feature, start with the light bulbs OFF and everything else is the same.

Alarm sounds when you open the drivers door...

Most likely a bad ground switch in the head light switch.

I have a 1999 pontiac sunfire. the interior lights does not work.( the mirrow reading lights, the 2 side lights by the door wen you opend the door it does not work and the compartament glove light does not...

First check your fuses and bulbs. If they check out OK, there is probably a faulty relay. If the car starts and runs normally, the alarm module is probably OK. A broken wire is possible, but not likely, unless an aftermarket radio or alarm has been installed. One other possibility is a faulty or stuck door jamb switch. If there is a burnt fuse, you will need to find the short that caused it to burn out. Look for corrosion in all of the non-working light bulb sockets.

My 2001 pontiac sunfire dome lights, and reading lights dont work. when i open the door there is also no beep sound. check fuses they seem to be ok. what else should i check?

is this problem only with the drivers door? or all doors?
if it is just one door you should check the door open courtesy light switch located in the door jamb (it will be in the jamb towards the hood only accessible with the door open) its a small cylinder shaperd switch that sometimes sticks due to corrosion. if its stuck the car has no idea the door is open. if it is stuck try and free it up with some pliers and lubricate with some wd40. another thing could be that the lights are burnt out. check this by turnig your dome lights on manually by turning the headlight switch (this adjusts your gauge lights) all the way until it clicks ...your dome light should be on if not repalce bulb and try again.
As far as the door ajar you have an aftermarket stereo installed...because the stock radio makes the chime throught the drivers side speaker...
i hope this helps

Power and no lites in refrig/freezer; beeping

depending on age of unit, the problem may lie in the light bulb, well the door closing anyway, the newer unit s actuall will shut down all interior lights, in the evnet that teh door is left open for more then 2-3 min, so its possible that a light switch is not being activated so the uit thinks the door is open and has shut down the rest of lights, cooling however does continue normally.

Oven lights

This is likely either a burned door switch or a burned panel switch.  If you used to get a light when you opened the door, you'll need to find and replace the switch.  Also, check the actual sockets of the bulbs...are they in good shape?
