Question about Mazzer Grinder-doser MINI
I just got my new Mazzer Mini. When I ran the first bit of coffee through it at the set point on the machine when it arrived), the grind looked too big for espresso. I moved the adjustment dial to make the grind finer, but then grounds would not come out. So i moved the adjustment dial back to its original setting, and still cannot get grinds to come out. Now I'm stuck. The manual with the machine is so limited that it is barely useful--it does tell me not to stick my fingers into the grinds while the machine is on. Thank goodness.
Try this, unplug grinder, vac out all beans, then turn grinder towards fine until you cannot turn the big nut in the center of the burr chamber with your fingers. Now turn adjuster towards coarse until you can barely move the middle nut(you should hear and feel the burs touching) now if you look around the edges of the adjustment ring you will see notches, pick a spot any spot just remember where you started, then turn 14 notches towards coarse, your grind should be almost perfect.
