In ascii ñ code is 164 while @ code is 064. I'm not familiar with typewriters but if it allows characters to be imputed like on PC than press Alt and while holding it type 064. Perhaps codes are mixed for some reason so you can try same thing with 164.

How can I do to type sign @?

The Nakajima AE-740 has a secondary set of characters on the keys in the upper right. I suspect that this alternate set is currently enabled. Do you see a Downward triangle above KBII? If so, press and hold the Code key and then press 5. Release both keys and check if the Downward triangle has disappeared from the display. Now, you should get an @ when you press Shift and then type 2.

ManualLib has the manual for the AE-740 available, http://www.manualslib.com/manual/455216/Nakajima-Ae-740.html . The information on toggling the alternate key usage is on page 43 of the manual.

I hope this helps.

You are most likely in KBII mode. There should be a slide switch or a top row key with KBII printed above it that requires the code key to turn it off.

Put in a multi part form and type if the carbons come out OK the the ribbon isn't lifting, Wiggle the big black gear on the R. side of the carrier back and forth. They do get tooth for tooth when they get old. If the print on the copies id bad or not there you need a print solenoid cap. We sell them for 20,00 including instructiond and shipping.

there is a key that has BOLD printed under the letter on the key, or it may be printed above the top keys on the keyboard, hold down the code key and hit the key under where it says BOLD, or the key that has it on it. to take it off, do the same thing

@ sign

Does it always print the same thing in place of the @ sign? If so you probably have a non standard printwheel.
