Mcdevito75 here, You can try, shut down your computer useing START SHUT OFF COMPUTER, when computer is shut down double check all connections at the computer and Monitor, also check wall socket. Now! restart your computer, check the controls on the monitor, if you have a button auto press it, this will automatically set your monitor. If all this fails, contact Dell, you may have a faukty monitor. Computer does not control monitor screen except for brightness and volume, problem most likely with the monitor itself.
