Probable very oily clutch internals. Remove the bar and chain, then spray the clutch internals with spray carburetor cleaner, let dry and reassemble bar and chain. Hope this helps!

Sounds like the guides have worn and/or at the end of the bar where the chain rides may have a lot of debris in it that needs cleaned out and lubed.

Poulon pro 18" smoking

The only way a two stroke can smoke is either it is running far too rich ( possible blocked air filter ) or there is too much or incorrect oil in the fuel, if the oil tank for the chain is sepereted from the crankcase by a gasket, it maybe the gasket leaking and allowing chain oil into the crankcase.

The chainsaw starts easily. But the chain won't move at all.

Sounds like the chainbrake has activated, grab the hand guard and pull it firmly back to the top handle, until you hear an audible click as the brake loads, now try again.

Do not know how to start my chain saw

First the chain should be tightened properly before starting. When you pick up on the chain midway of the bar it should pull away from the bar about 1/4". The proper mix of oil & gas in the fuel tank & Oil for the chain in the oiler tankk is needed, If so, locate the on/off switch & turn it to "on". Pull the choke lever out. Depress the throttle trigger & engage the latch for the trigger. With the saw held firmly in place, pull the starter rope until the engine hits. Then move the choke to half & pull till it cranks. move the choke lever to the run position.

Chainsaw chain won't move on 16" Homelite bar

Sounds like th clutch brake is engaged. Try Pushing firmly foward on the hand guard in front of the handle. It should click to release the clutch brake.
Let me know if this helps.
