Question about Pentax Optio S7 Digital Camera
The local camera shop reckon its a lens staying open for too long and they couldn't do anything with it. The camera is only just two years old
and i'm dismayed with Pentax quality.
Its been well looked after, never dropped and not taken anywhere to contaminate the workings.
Thanks for taking your secound opinion on this I really wish I can help here, The issue is if the lens is staying open then this is not going to work. Fixing it would cost more then purchase of a new one if you will.
Camera shops know there stuff, they should never steer away business but then again they should never lie to the paying public. So rather taking a complete risk on it by fixing it they handed the ill camera back. My suggestion is this take it to pentax with there out of warranty repair service should not come over $65 bucks "do nto shoot the messenger".
I feel that is the best way to go about this because if local camera shops are not wanting the task by sheer difficulty I would look to the manufacture they know best.
Bob, thanks for visiting fixya.com, thanks for your votes and feedback.
