Question about Garmin StreetPilot c550 GPS Receiver
I bought it new i threw away the box during a recent move and my daughters thought it would be funny to lock the device! i contacted garmin and without proof of purchase this in their mind is a "can't be done". It's an elecrtonic device...there has got to be a simple overlooked fix.
There is no "simple overlooked fix" for this as it is not a "bug" or a "problem." It is not unintentional. It was designed a security feature, and would not be much of one if it was easily "fixed." The only way to unlock a PIN locked Garmin is to enter the correct PIN, take the unit to the location at which the PIN was entered (as TOLady already said) or send the unit back to Garmin.

You will have to take the unit back to the 'security location' in order for it to unlock without the PIN.
