im sorry but the only way is to contact the car dealer. you can pay for codes online but they didnt work for me. after you do get the code. write it down. sometimes the code is behind the glovebox, or inside side of glovebox. as well as under the outside fuse box. depending what make and model of your car. the previous owner may know as well. my acura stereo code was written above my visor. after hell searching. days. days! hope this helps.

Check in your glove box for a credit card sized piece of paper with a code on it. Typically they put the code in there.

If not get the serial number and see if you can call a acura dealer and find out if they have a way of retrieving it.

if you talk nice to the Honda dealer they may retrieve the code for you but due to security issues these codes are not readily available

however, if Honda makes you pay, like they do often, then replace the generic stock stereo with a nice aftermarket!!!

there is a security code you have to type in you only get ten tries then it locks up. the security code should be hand written in the manual some where. if you cant get it you will have to pull out the stereo and get the serial number and call the acura people and they will give you a code. but you need the serial number off the back of the stock cd player.

err-3 means you have entered incorrect anti-theft radio code more that three times.If you do not have radio code you can most of the time find the code card tucked away in the owners manual pouch.(looks like a bussiness card)If you are unable to find card you would have to pull radio from dash and retrive stereo serial number,which is on bottom side of radio.once you have s/n you can take s/n to any acura dealership(has to be a dealer)and they can get radio code for that stereo through Honda Corp.once you have correct radio code you will need to first unplug radio,or disconnect battery to reset radio memory,then type in radio code.again if entered incorrectly 3x ,radio would need to be reset again too clear error codes.good luck!

During the code request mode, while holding the DISP key depressed, press and hold the Volume UP or DOWN key for 3 seconds (so that “…” disappears).
