Question about Microsoft Digital Image Pro 9.0 for PC

1 Answer

Lost fonts?? I recently removed some fonts from my computer, and could no longer see the print options on the left side of my screen when I go to print a picture. So, doing the obvious, I promptly uninstalled and reinstalled my program...twice...to no avail. How can I print if I cannot see the options I need to choose my printer, paper, quality, etc?? Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

I ended up reinstalling all of the fonts I had removed and I could once again see my print options. Don't know which one one it was, but it was obviously one that came with the Windows program, not with the DIP program. Thanks anyway....

Problems viewing all installed fonts in Indesign and Illustrator CS2

This is a common problem with CS2 and a variety of fonts.

Try using this missing fonts loader plugin:

If that doesn't work for you, let me know and we can try something more involved.

I have a 64 bit computer and I am trying to install Parsons Hebrew Tutor which is an 8 bit program. Is there anyway possible to do this?

What OS were you previously using with the program? This program ran well under Win98 but could run in Windows XP. This is for the version released in 1997. Some reviewers noted problems with the fonts, screen resolution and color attributes under XP.

I think the only way you might be able to run the program is in a second computer (physical, dual boot or virtual). What OS are you currently running? If you have Windows7 Pro or Ultimate, you can run a virtual XP for free. (If you have Home Premium, you can upgrade to Pro or Ultimate for a fee.) Download and install Virtual PC and XP mode from Microsoft. Install them in order. Then install the Hebrew Tutor on the XP computer. You may need to copy the fonts to the System font folder (either from the tutor disk or the folder that is installed with the Hebrew Tutor program)
To install a font, follow these steps in the XP system:
  1. Click Start, and then click Run.
  2. Type the following command, and then click OK: %windir%\fonts
  3. On the File menu, click Install New Font.
  4. In the Drives box, click the drive that contains the font that you want to add.
  5. In the Folders box, click the folder that contains the font that you want to add, and then click OK.
  6. In the List of fonts box, click the font that you want to add. To select more than one font at a time, press and hold the CTRL key while you select each font.
  7. Click to select the Copy Fonts To Fonts Folder check box. The new font is saved in the Windows\Fonts folder.
  8. Click OK.
(Other virtual computer programs are Parallels and VMWare.) All of the other options will require a licensed version of the older Windows OS. If you decide to run the program under Windows 98, you will not be able to use the XP mode. Instead you will need one of the other options I have listed.

I hope this helps.

Cindy Wells
(if you are running a UNIX or MAC OS, you can do something similar with a virtual computer. For UNIX try WINE (which runs many Windows programs). For a Mac, you will need a virtualization program and a licensed copy of Windows XP.)

My problem is printing a section of a saved jpg. graphic. All parts of the poster print correctly except for one section that prints two letters in block instead of the arched shape of the text block. ...

I haven't used that version of printmaster but if you can see it correctly on the screen but not when printed I would check the name of the font used and then check to see if that font is installed in windows. Go to the font folder and look for it. If i recall PrintMaster comes with some fonts that are not included in windows. You can add fonts to windows btw.

I ve lost all my fonts in corel. I tried to install a new font and all the fonts i have disapeared.

Hi there,
Most probably the problem is caused by the font list options.
Go to Text -> Font List Options or Tools -> Options -> Workspace -> Text -> Fonts
Once you're there play around with these options. The solution most probable to work is disabling "Show document fonts only"

My Print Shop V. 21 will no longer open on my computer. I've had it for quite some time and used it without any previous problems. Any suggestions?

Run a registry cleaner. After putting things onto a computer and then removing them, things get electronically stirred up. A registry cleaner will steer the program parts to each other and get rid on the junk that has been left on the computer when you deleted anything.

make sure your fonts are loaded correctly and turned on.Try it with a open type font and see if this fixes the problem. Open type fonts are the new font type to use. try www.dafont.com and enjoy. as for the creating a proper print file without text reflow and a open type doesnot fix the problem. Your rip for the proofer might need the font loaded locally for proofing. or when you send make sure the option to send fonts for each page selected.
