after giving several tug-and-release pulls to get it as tight as u can, pull the strap, and then push down the adjuster lever while still holding the strap tight. Then pull again and push down the lever again. You usually just have to do that 2-3 times and it Should be nice and tight.

    Proper Installation
Forward-Facing Installation--LATCH (for children more than 1 year of age and 20 pounds)
  1. Step 1 Place the car seat in the vehicle in the forward-facing position at a LATCH ("Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children") location in the rear seat. Loosen the lower LATCH straps and the upper tether strap.
  2. Step 2 Plug the lower LATCH components into the LATCH hooks in your vehicle. Refer to your owner's manual for help if you cannot find the LATCH hooks.
  3. Step 3 Clip the tether strap to your vehicle's tether hook. Again, if you cannot find the tether hook, refer to your car's owner's manual.
  4. Step 4 Tighten the LATCH straps and the tether strap. The car seat should not move more than an inch in any direction.
  5. Forward-Facing Installation--Seat Belt (for children more than 1 year of age and 20 pounds)
  6. Step 1 Place the car seat on the vehicle seat in the forward-facing position. Open the forward-facing lock-off clip on the side of the car seat away from the buckle. Loosen the tether strap.
  7. Step 2 Pull the seat belt out and thread it through the seat belt slots, over the LATCH bar. Fasten the buckle, making sure that it clicks shut firmly.
  8. Step 3 Put your knee into the car seat to push it into the seat of the car. Pull on the lap section of the belt to take up any slack. Pull on the shoulder section of the belt to continue to eliminate any slack in the belt. As you do this, thread the shoulder belt portion through the lock-off farthest from the buckle.
  9. Step 4 Shut the lock-off on the shoulder belt, being sure that it clicks shut firmly. Pull and push on the car seat to be sure that it does not move more than an inch in any direction.
  10. Step 5 Fasten the tether strap to the vehicle's tether hook. Pull the strap to tighten it.
  11. Rear-Facing Installation--LATCH (for children under 33 pounds)
  12. Step 1 Place the seat in the rear-facing position at the LATCH location. Loosen the LATCH and the tether straps. Fully recline the car seat.
  13. Step 2 Clip the LATCH components into your vehicle's LATCH hooks. Check your owner's manual if you cannot locate the LATCH hooks.
  14. Step 3 Install the D-hook under the front seat as directed in the Britax Boulevard's user's manual. Clip the tether strap to the D-hook.
  15. Step 4 Tighten the LATCH and tether straps while pushing the car seat into the vehicle seat. Push and pull the car seat in all directions to make sure that it does not move more than an inch in any direction.
  16. Rear-Facing Installation--Seatbelt (for children under 33 pounds)
  17. Step 1 Place the car seat in the rear-facing position. Fully recline the car seat. Loosen the tether hook. Open the rear-facing lock-off on the side opposite where the seat will be buckled.
  18. Step 2 Pass the seat belt through the rear-facing belt path. Be sure that you pass it behind the crotch buckle of the car seat.
  19. Step 3 Fasten the seat belt. Make sure that it clicks shut. While leaning on the car seat, pull the lap portion of the belt, then the shoulder portion of the belt to eliminate any slack in the belt. When doing this, be sure to pass the shoulder belt section through the lock-off.
  20. Step 4 Close the lock-off on the shoulder belt. Move the car seat back and forth to be sure that it is installed tightly enough. The seat should not move more than an inch in any direction.
  21. Step 5 Install the D-******** the bottom of the front seat as shown in the Boulevard user's instructions. Clip the tether hook to the D-strap and tighten.

good luck

How to remove maxi cosi cabrio harness straps

Hi

The harness of a carseat should never be removed or replaced by anyone other than a trained engineer due to the safety implications of it being incorrectly replaced.

The carseat fabric should be removed from this carseat and they can be washed - the harness itself should be cleaned in place in the carseat using a solution of stain remover and water and a small scrubbing brush or hard scourering pad to clean the harness. Excess water in the carseat should be dried immediately and thoroughly to prevent any parts rusting. Loose crumbs can be removed using a vacuum cleaner.

Alternatively the carseat can be sent in for the engineers to replace with a new one. Inspection and single repair (replacement of the harness) plus safety checks and courier collection and repair can be booked for 39.99GBP if you're in the UK by calling 01284 413 141 Mon-Thur 8.30-6.30 / Fri 8.30-4.30 (Excluding Bank Holidays)

Straps have been washe and need to know how to putr back together

Hi

The harness straps should not be removed from the carseat shell due to the safety implications of them being re-fitted incorrectly. The carseat would need to be sent to the engineers for re-fitting the harness. What country are you in and we can direct you to the relevant customer care team to discuss this with.

Hi i have got a maxi cosi cabriofix car baby car seat and cannot seem to remove the cover at the bottom where the grey circle is how do i do this and can i was the cover in the washing machine once...

Good Morning

The grey tensioner strap appears to be stitched in place but it isn't. Follow it around under the bottom of the carseat and the strap is in a piece of plastic catch shaped like an H on it's side. Wiggle one way then the other to unhook from this catch, and the carseat fabric can be removed (where the grey circle part is the fabric is tucked underneath slightly, once you've unhooked the tensioner strap you'll be able to get the fabric off easily).

Hand washing is recommended, but if you have delicate or handwash cycle on machine this is also suitable. Use a mild detergent and maximum temp 30 degrees for washing. Do not tumble dry: Do not leave in direct sunlight to dry. Ensure fabric is completely dry before putting it back on for use as damp fabrics may result in mould or mildew growth.

Remember never remove the harness straps from the carseat, the fabrics can be completely removed while the harness remains in place!

Evenflo carseat, can't figure out the straps after washing

You need to put the straps throught the bottom, then the top openings you put it through the 2nd **** or where the baby will be comfortable. Then you tie it on the back.

How do you raise the shoulder straps up to a higher level on the Britax Marathon carseat?

The straps must be undone from a claw on the underside of the car seat so you have to remove the whole thing from the car. The claw is designed to keep the straps in place and this it does very well but its position on the undercarraige leaves no room for your hands and makes it near impossible to manage.

Cosco 5-point omega carseat

ok I had such a hard time with this, i looked on the internet for hours and found NOTHING!! haha so i went to babies r us and checked out a similar one so here it is.
first the strap goes on the bottom, pull them even and the add the buckle, plastic buckle thing, and the other thing soft thing. then put the strap through the back of the seat (you should have two ends) not the must go OVER the adjusts! now take the metal piece that adjust the length and pull it long enough for it to reach the two straps and hook them up!! haha if this isnt good enough go to a store that carries the alpha omega elite car seats and check it out! GOOD LUCK!!
