Depending on where you are in the world it can be more expencive to replace the deck than to buy a new machine

What to do if the body is rusting away on my yard works lawn mower 6.5HP

Your best bet is to look on craigslist for someone selling a mower similar to yours with a bad motor. Buy it cheap and swap motors.
New chassis are available through your local dealer also. You will need model and serial numbers from your chassis.

Why Spark on Briggs and straiten motor?

Does it have a shutoff wire on the carburetor?

Use a meter to check the coil at the magneto - if that coil reads "open" (no continuity), then it's bad & needs replacement.

The body of the lawn mower is starting to rust and when you try to turn the lawn mower by lefting the front with your handle it rips more. Is there any way you can replace the body of the lawn mower<

I keep my eyes open for a mower that is junk suich as one the motor is shot and make sure it's about the same type as the one your changing and there are four bolts that you take out of the mower base that holds the motor in place take them out and undo the cables and replace the new base. Some times the handles are interchangable as well.

Sovereign 35 classic white smoke

White smoke usually means there is water getting into the cylinder head. If your mower is not water cooled then there might be some water in the petrol. If the mower is water cooled then the cylinder head gasket has gone and needs replacing. Good Luck. George

I have been told to coat the bottom of my new lawnmower with fiberglass coating to extend the life of the body- is this true, or even a good idea?

While it may extend the life it may also trap moisture and rust it out....also could be rough and catch the grass causing other issues...overall it probably is not a great idea...your mower will probably have something else go bad before the deck anyway...

You might try the above link. They are in the UK and if they don't have they may be able to point you in the right direction

Ng460 sovereign mower fires up but just stops petrol ok plug ok what next

If it's the little Briggs & Stratton Sprint engine the problem is likely to be the diaphragm that sits between the fuel tank and the carburettor body. They shrink on an incredibly regular basis (usually just outside warranty!) and cause the machine to either not run, or run very rich (as if the choke is full on). If you're competent you can remove the tank/carb assembly, split the two and replace the diaphragm. If not, your local friendly machnery dealer will fit a new one for probably (in the uk) under £30..
