SOURCE: display date & time on developed pictures

When you say it's displayed on the screen, do you mean while it's in playback mode, it's embedded there?

If not, you will have to put your resoltion in postcard mode and make sure in menu that your date or date/time stamp is turned on.

To get to your resolution settings, turn camera on to shooting mode, hit function/set button and arrow down to the bottom left corner where it will show your resolution (L,M,S, etc) and this is where you will find postcard mode.

This setting is the only one you can use date time stamp and will show up in prints, but only good for 4 x 6 prints, anything larger will not be good resolution, it will be pixelated because it's only enough quality for a small print.

Hope this helps!

SOURCE: date doesnt show on pictures

The info is stored with the picture (not on it) in a form called "metadata". This can be recalled by almost any photo editing program.

SOURCE: My sony camcorder DCR_TRV250E does

if you refer to page 275 of the manual. The only setting you can do is to turn on auto date and it will record the date for 10 seconds after recording has started. If you don't want to record it but just want to see it when you play back refer to page 277. and change to date/cam.

If you have any other questions please let me know.

My camera shows that the date and time are set up but date does not print on picture when developed. it's a new camera and I just developed my first set of prints and there is no date on any of them. ...

On digital cameras, the data is stored with the filename. Check the back of your prints to see if the dates were not printed there. Most companies do put at least the date information on the back of the prints as well as any other metadata stored with the file produced by the digital camera. Unlike film cameras, which could only record the date by actually putting it on the picture, digital pictures contain metadata that can include things such as people tags, location tags (geotagging), etc. depending upon the capabilities of your camera. The date and time is always stored along with the filename on all digital cameras. If the company that printed your pictures did not include the date on the back of the picture, ask them if they can do it or find another source to print your pictures that can.

If this did not address your issue, please reply with any amplifying information so that I may more accurately address your issue.

I hope this helped!

I have changed the battery but the date and time still do not show up on the pictures

For the date and time to show up on the pictures you take, you have to enable it from under the settings menu.
If it does not display any option that is related to the display of date and time under the settings menu, then it does not support this feature.

How can I get the pictures to print with the date and time stamp on them. They show up on the pictues in the playback mode, but are not on the actual picture when I print them and they are somewhat...

Sadly the new Digi-cams don't have this feature any more. If you have the pictures printed by a professional developer they can impose the date on your photos.

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

Canon A540

The date will only show up on the picture under a limited set of circumstances on the Canon PowerShot digital cameras, of which the A540 is one. You've probably found the Date function in the menu, but discovered that it was off, grayed out, and skipped over whenever you tried to reset it.

Date stamp will only work in "Postcard" mode. Press the Function button (labeled "FUNC SET"), then press the down button until you reach the Recording Pixels selection (usually labeled "L", but not always). It's probably the bottom onscreen selection. Use the right or left buttons to select Postcard, then press the Function button again.

Press the Menu button and scroll down to Date Stamp. Now you should be able to select "Date" or "Date & Time" with the right or left button. Press Menu again and take your pictures.

this the link for the manual for the fuji finepix s5100, if you download the manual to your computer (if is a pdf file) open it and scroll to page 72. It says to set the power switch to play and press the F (function button), then press the left or right until you see the DPOF. then you use the up or the down to select the with date or without date to print to you pictures.
