Hi

Please check the bellow links to diagnose your problem…

http://www.hvac-for-beginners.com/air-conditioner-troubleshooting.html

However if the fan is not running is the compressor not running also...if neither is running the possible reasons are 1..no power to outside unit...2..bad contactor on outside unit. is this buzzing if it is this indicates no power...3 bad capacitor, do both compressor and fan hum then quit humming and hum some more...4 high pressure switch has shut unit down because fan wasn’t running if compressor was running but not fan....if your unit has this there will be a manual reset button where the lines come out of unit...if compressor was running and fan was not...1 bad fan...2 bad capacitor.. if you do not have any electrical knowhow i would recommend calling a HVACs tech to come and fix unit...

Let us know if you have something more to know else accept the suggestion.

Ruud compressor relay not working a/c

Hello,im assumimg you are referring to the contactor coil on the oudoor unit. First you must verify if the coil is receiving 24 volts from the thermostat at the coil terminals, if not there is a problem with the low voltage circuit, possibly a a open thermostat wire or a fuse blown on the indoor control board. If ther is 24 volts at the contactor coil and it does not engages then the contactor coil must be replaced

The supply is 220v going to pcb. indoor .the outdoor unit was not working due the power supply..was 110v,, prom the pcb indoor..

I assume you are in Australia? There should be a 240v feed to the indoor unit. Once the indoor unit has been switch on , there shouldbe a 240 v supply to the outdoor unit. The communications wire will fluctuate what voltage is supplied to the outdoor. Unless you are a licenced electrician, I would not suggest you attempt to check these figures as the risk of electrocution is very high. No power to the outdoor unit can be as simple as a failed air / pipe sensor on the indoor unit , or the indoor board itself is faulty. Call up an LG Agent in your area for service and to protect your welfare..

Hi,My Father's LG split air-conditioner has stopped working(as in totally dead no lights or movement)after checking the out door unit for power which it has I noticed the PCB has a red led flashing 5...

The outdoor unit has to be powered from the indoor unit on which the main processor board is present.Disconnect power and check the main PCB. It is possible that the main unit has shut off as there is connection fault or a fault in the compressor unit. So the outdoor unit power supply from the indoor unit must be checked with a multimeter for voltage on switch on. If not there are errors in the main processor board.

AC unit Amcoraire AOS241HX @ startup i have power to the L1, L2 power inlet terminals to the outdoor unit but no power to the lines going up to the indoor unit. What can I do to correct problem?

these should be seperate circuits so lets forget the condensing unit for a moment. It should not come on because it gets the control voltage for the contactor from the indoor unit. Check your circuit board for a 3 or 5 amp fuse and make sure it hasnt blown. If it has you will get nothing past the board. If that isnt the case, you will have to start checking for supply voltage from the panel to the disconnect at your furnace, disconnect to board(transformer may also be bad) the blower motor. transformer, and circuit board are the only components indoor that effect the outdoor unit.

Unit wont start, flashing lights on indoor unit, fuse may be gone

How old is it? Can you justify spending lots of money on an older system? Sounds like a transformer issue. Sometimes if the low voltage wiring gets shorted outside via dog or weed eater it will short the transformer. But if transformer is on control. Controls are cheap at supply houses maybe not from technicians

Mod# A-SMH18SA SER# 2791206189 Heat controller mini-split. Cust says lights flashing on board- he resets it, yet it resumes to just flashing at the board. Nothing runs. Long drive out there- any ideas. Was...

First of all, Heat Controller does not mount any schematics on their systems panels at all and supply no information for the service tech to code the light on the outdoor board. This is unbelievable.
Anyway- I found that the electrician had re-arranged breakers in the panel supplying the building and had connected the outdoor heat pump to 120v instead of 240v. He had interpenetrated the connection at the unit that has marked 2(N) as being a neutral connection. I explained that on 120v systems, that is neutral, but on a 240v system, it's L2. The outdoor board was flashing 5 times after the power was turned on for 3 minutes. Voltage at "S" was 38.4v, with this condition and the indoor units lights (all) were flashing every second and beeping as well.
It's running fine now that we are connected to the proper voltage.

Mitshubishi split muh-18nvand inside msh-18nv

-Start the unit.
-Press EMERGENCY OPERATION switch.3-minute time delay works.Test run operation operates for 30 minutes.
-Check voltage to terminal block of outdoor unit.Is there 12V DC between 2-1?
-If voltage is presenet check the wiring, compressor contactor outdoor fan motor and compressor.
-If no voltage check voltage to terminal block of indoor unit.Is there 12V DC between 2-1?
-If if voltage is present re-connect the continuity of indoor and outdoor unit connection.
-If no voltage replace the indoor electronic control P.C.
board.
-But also check the coil thermistor sensor and room air thermistor if this two is out of range it can cause the tripping of out door unit. It has the resistance of 8 to 10 k ohms at 25 deg c temp.
