I had a similar problem and I found the symptoms misleading! I used a pin to clean the upper needle and I found that after I did that the pump worked again. Not 100% sure it will work everytime, but cheap and worth a try!

If this is a newer unit contact Keurig and they will probably replace it. They did for me but now the new brewer is starting to do the same thing. Good luck.

NO COLD WATER

"Solenoid". No, you probably don't need one. You shouldn't even HAVE one.

I suspect strongly that you need to prime the new pump. There should be a priming plug on the top of the pump. Remove the plug and pour water into it. Replace the plug quickly and turn on the pump immediately.

You may need to do this several times before the pump starts drawing water. You can hear the change in pump sound when it starts moving water.

It does help, while you're priming, to close any valve you find between the pump and the pressure tank. As soon as the pump draws water, slightly open that valve or the pump will cycle on & off very rapidly. When the pressure tank is pretty full of water (you're getting fairly significant pressure on the gauge), open that valve fully.

I always liked to have a globe valve on top of the pump with a bell reducer and cap above that for priming purposes. The globe valve permits VERY fast pump repriming, and the bell reducer acts like a funnel, making it easy to pour water in. With the globe valve closed (normal operation), the cap doesn't even have to be tight - I need no tools to prime my pump that way.

Won't disperse the water. The left side is very hot after 3 tries.

I assume you hear the pump running, and you are not using a k-cup. No water comes out of the empty k-cup holder, and no water comes out the left rear side drain (back into the water tank).

Perhaps a line is totally plugged up or a valve is stuck, and the pump is over heating from having to work too hard with no water moving through to help cool it.

Try squeezing the drain closed then open then closed a couple of times during a brew cycle and see if this changes things. I doubt it will, but this action can cure some pump priming problems.

Remove the water tank, and be prepared for more water from the brewer while you take this next step. Turn it upside down and spank its bottom, hard, a few times. This has freed obstructions for other users. But if a tube/valve is totally blocked, this may not dislodge anything.

The ultimate thing is to take it apart and check each line and valve for obstructions. This is not an easy task, and will take Torx(r) style screw drivers, needle noise pliers, and probably wire nuts.

If you can get it to pass any water, do a de-scaling just as if the de-scale light had come on. I'd use CLR(r) cleaner (which is stronger than the vinegar called for in the de-scale instructions), and run a extra couple tanks of water through before using the brewer. Check the odor/taste of the last flush to be sure all the CLR is washed out.

Unless you're a bored DIY with an OCD symptom for making the brewer work again, I'd start watching the sale ads for a replacement.

I have a flotec water pump that sits on top of my pressure tank, pump worked ok last season, and when we tried to prime the pump to start this season, it wont pull water up from the well pipe, pump will...

if the pump is working correctly, it can either be, need more water to prime it, or something in the well, such as low water, plugged filter, etc....sometimes when you have a system that is intermittently used, it can take 20 or 30 minutes of continuous priming to get it to pull, enough water to maintain the prime.

How to prime my Pool?

Prime is the term we use to state that the air has been mostly purged from the pump and the pump is moving water. When you have lost the prime, your pump is no longer pumping water through it. Sometimes it can be very difficult to regain the prime on the pump. This will tell you how to get the prime back in these difficult situations
