Question about Digi Konig tal Free-To-Air Satellite Receiver DTV Receiver

1 Answer

I have just taken delivery of a Konig digital satellite receiver I want to tune it to accept the available channels from the satellite we use here in England I think this is the Astra satellite when I attempted this earlier I was faced with a daunting array of options which bamboozled me I did manage to download some channels but the ones I wanted were way up the number scale (over 300) and they were not all there either. All I want is to get the channels our satellite can receive and then arrange them in a user friendly manner in favourites group. Can you help Peter

I have an older model Durabrand t.v. I'm trying to connect my satellite to it but the channel got changed. How do I get the t.v. to the correct input to use the satellite without a remote?

Connect and put on both TV & Sat Receiver, then on UHF channels, auto or manual tune the Receiver's output signal, try to fine tune if auto or manual does not tune well.

Can a toshiba 28z07b be digitally tuned

Hi,
Your TV set has a 181 Channel Tuner and 100 Programme Positions..
Over the air signals (analog and digital) are free but require an special antennas for Digital reception and reception depends on your where you live and other factors.
Additionally Cable and satellite signals require you to connect a cable to your
TV tuner and a subscription and cable box for premium channels including Digital channels..
While all l TV tuners have the ability to receive over the air TV signals,
not all tuners can receive high definition (HD) signals. In North America, all
over-the-air TV is now broadcast in digital quality (ATSC).
ATSC is the over the air HDTV standard for North America and is currently available
in over 200 cities in the United States.

Hope this helps!..if more help requires pls let me know.
Take care and please

Try the CBeebies channel: you won't get a programme guide, but the BBC4 transmission takes over the channel at 19.00 hours U.K. time.

How to program channel without remote

First be aware that if you are using an antenna this television has an analog tuner which is no longer capable of receiving any digital signals which is the only channels being broadcast as of June 2009. If you have a cable or satellite receiver then here is the procedure for auto programing your channels. Make sure your active cable/satellite is plugged into Ant 1 (Antenna 1) on the back of your set.

On the front panel push the menu button until the "Channel" is highlighted. Then push either the plus button or the down button to highlight auto program.
Once that is done push plus or up and the set will automatically tune in all the available stations

Recording 3 digit channels

With the VCR connected to DirecTV, you're not picking the channel with the VCR anymore. You're picking the channel on the DirecTV receiver, and the VCR will record on channel 3 or 4 (if you've hooked the receiver up using the RF output to the VCR) or through its line (A/V) inputs if you're using those. The tuning range of the VCR is completely unimportant.

With your new system, though, there's one big drawback. Since the VCR is always set for channel 3 or 4, or its line input, and you're changing channels on the DirecTV receiver, you can't program the VCR to record several different channels if you go out. You won't be home to change channels on the receiver, so the only channel you'll be able to record is whichever one you've selected before you go out. Remember the VCR is taping the output of the satellite receiver, and not the satellite channel directly. If you record on some channel other than the receiver's output channel, there won't be anything there. All you'll get is snow or a blank screen.

Programming Channels

Your TV is likely set for "AIR" tuning rather than "CABLE" mode. In this case channels above 13 don't tune correctly. The tuning mode is adjusted through the setup menu (it's been too long since I've seen one of these to remember exactly how the menu looks). Once you set the tuning mode for cable, all the available channels should come in properly.

But you've said you have satellite, so you should have a satellite receiver connected to your TV, and you'd be changing channels there rather than on the TV. Your TV would be staying on channel 3 or 4 (if using the satellite antenna output connection), or on the A/V input you have the satellite connected to (if using the direct A/V outputs). Am I missing something about your system?

Resetting a sony television to receive digital programs

The retuning process is as follows:

  1. Press the [i+] or MENU button on the remote control to display the DIGITAL INFO menu.
  2. Press the BLUE button to display the MAIN MENU.
  3. Press the UP or DOWN buttons to highlight AUTO TUNING then press the OK button to display the AUTO TUNING MENU.
  4. Press the RED button to start the auto tuning process for all available digital channels.
  5. Wait for the process to complete.

If you wish to CANCEL the auto tuning process whilst it is processing then press the BLUE button at any time.

You may lose some channels when you retune the TV as the channels have been rearranged. To locate them look at the EPG although you may still find that some channels are no longer available on FREEVIEW. See the following link for additional information
