I have the vivitar 5385 when I try to download photo from camera it say my camera is not hooked to my computer

Dear June,
Yes, you might be correct. The cord may be faulty. Take out the memory card and insert it into a memory card reader. Then connect the card reader to your computer and see whether you can download the photos.

Lost my USB cord to my Vivitar Vivicam8025

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa.

My vivitar camera is not getting charged.

1) Check that the battery is good It may have collapsed and need replacing.
2) try connecting with another cord to see if that is the problem.

3) take the battery and the cord to a camera outlesat to check integrity of both.

Error when I try to download the driver

Go to the Vivitar website (www.vivitar.com) and click on the support menu. Select the category and model of your camera and download the driver. Install the driver and then connect your camera. I would've given you a direct link, but I didn't see ViviCam 35 as a model number, so you'll have to get the model number off of the camera's ID plate.
