Flymo trimmer 700 wont switch on

if you can disconnect the switch wires and it starts you will have to choke to stop machine . but you will know if switch is faulty , sometimes it just dust in the switch itself , try blowing switch with compressed air first .

Inherited this 2200 w/ new political office. Was working fine and making clear copies - then error code E000000-0000. Restarted machine - tried Press * Press 2 Press 8 Press * - got nothing. Help.

E000
Indicates either of the following: the main thermistor (TH1) has poor contact
or an open circuit; the thermal switch (TP1) has an open circuit; the
main/sub heater has an open circuit; the main power supply PCB is faulty;
the DC controller PCB is fatly; the door switch is faulty.

In the case of E000 through E003, the code will not be reset when the main
power switch is turned off, requiring the use of service mode
(COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERROR).
However, if E001 or E003 is detected within 3 sec after the front door
switch is identified to have been opened or closed, the code will be reset
when the main power switch is turned off and then on. This consideration is
to prevent a service call in response to an error detected when the switch
operation is not fully stable (as immediately after turning off and then on
the main power switch).

Broken hinge on reservoir cover

The hinge itself and the lid are not orderable parts, unless you grabbed one off of a broken unit of the same model. The product does, however, have a 3-year warranty.

Central vac

It is possible that the low voltage wiring that controls your central vacuum has been damaged during the cable work. You can check to see if the low voltage relay is working by shorting the two terminals together at the unit. Just disconnect the two small (18-22 gauge) wires from the unit and short across the terminals where the wires connect. If the unit comes on, the vacuum is fine, and it is most likely the low voltage control wires that have been damaged. It should be a pretty easy fix, if you can get to where the wires are located. They are probably just pulled apart at a joint. Good Luck!!
