Question about Epson Stylus Photo R1800 InkJet Printer
The red light means that the IC chip located on the cartridge (on a CIS the part that slots in place of it) is faulty or it can't be recognized.
Since the problem has appeared simultaneously to all cartridges i think it's a printer problem, not a CIS one. Start by cleaning the connectors on the printing head then load some simple cartridges - new preferably - to reset the sensors.
If the light is still there then the problem is inside the printer. in the head or the controller board. In both cases it will be necessary to get your printer to a dealer for a full diagnostic.
