Not really sure if I'm understanding the question but if I am, then you may want to go get a new driver and install it.

Go Here and make sure to choose your correct operating system then make sure to choose the pcl 5 and not 6 as 6 has been known to be buggy like that Click , hope this helps you out and if so please leave this a fixya thanks

    Use the following guidelines if you use the page description language (PDL) ability to mark resources as permanent. For technical details, see an appropriate PDL reference for PCL or PS.
    • Mark resources as permanent only when it is absolutely necessary that they remain in memory while the product is turned on.
    • Send permanent resources to the product only at the beginning of a print job and not while the product is printing.

    Pdf file won't print. printer works fine for everything else but this file won't print.


    Are you getting an out of memory error?

    You may have the wrong driver. If your machine does not support pdf but the driver thinks it does, it will send the file directly to the printer instead of converting it to another format.

    If you are using a PS (post script) print driver, delete it and install the PCL driver (PCL5 or PCL6 if available). May help, not positive. I have seen lots of pdf printing problems with PS or incorrect model drivers.

    I find most PDF printing issues are due to the print Driver. Your print driver should be a Post Script driver they offer the best support for PDF files.

    The issue your having is most likely due to the print driver. First step would be to replace your driver.

    Print the document again.

    If it does the same thing, then it could be caused by the actual PDF file your printing.

    Print other PDF documents does it do this with all PDF's?

    If so your Acrobat Software has an issue. Reinstall Acrobat.

    Print PDF's again.

    If the problem remains then it becomes a issue most likely caused by your Operating Sys of your computer.

    It is possible that from your PDF files, the printing preferences are not configure to print the right cartridge. Before you click the last OK to print from a PDF file, click on Preferences of the printer and see if there is a tab to set the right cartridge (color or black).

    Slow printing of Acrobat pdf files on HP Laserjet 1300


    Ok this is simply because of the printer spooler and because PDF's are much larger that is why. Here are the instructions on how to print another way to print a little quicker.

    Hp1020 won't print pdf files


    The 1020 Has Known issues printing PDF files. The HP LJ 1020 is a HOST printer with NO SUPPORT for PS (post script) or PLC commands. Most users end up printing the PDFs as images. That was not a solution for us and we trashed our 1020 and went with another brand. Good luck.

    Pale print on PDF files


    It sounds like a driver problem. Try replacing the driver for this printer on the printers folder, using the HP LaserJet Series II. With this driver, try again the PDF file and see if it prints correctly.
