Hello there,
First of all, i will say you should try another USB cable in connecting the hard drive to your computer. Or you try to connect it to another computer. This time, ensure you try to use a 7.0 USB cable.
Sometimes the cable might be bad and will just connect but not read you hard drive. It happened to a modem of mine. Until i changed the USB cable was when the computer was able to read the modem.
Hope the hard drive did not fall or hit any hard object.
Hope this helped. Goodluck Elect_Comp

Only ocationaly rebooting the system. most of the time it says operating system not found.what could be the reason. Please help.My system Fujitsu seimens amilo pro 2065

Hey, either a hard disk corruption or some missing/corrupt files - Solution: Format and reinstall your Operating system. If that doesnt work, maybe you need a hard disk replacement.
But before that, are you sure you haven't connected any USB drives or flash drives or an external hard drive when you computer boots up. That could be the reason. Solution: disconnect any such device before you start your computer.

How can i able to use my usb flash drive, it won't open due to i haven't remove it while my computer is formatting.

Hi arjeevergel ,

The USB drive should work fine even if you have removed it while formatting your hard disk (if this is what you mean when you say formatting computer).

Try connecting the drive to some other slot after you install the operating system and check it it works.

If it does not work , then you can probably check it in your neighbor's PC whether it's been detected or not , if it's being detected then the problem could be that your USB ports have been disabled which you need to enable via BIOS or the hardware manager.

Hope this helps ...:)

My IBM think pad does not boot. it only shows black screen and blinking curser. after few seconds it shows a message saying pxe-e61: media test failure, check cable.

There are two possiblities, first is your data cable it may damage so you need to change it or your data cable not plugged properly so check it. Secondly, you need to reset your boot order to resolve your issue.

Thanks & Best of Luck

When I plug in my flash drive, my computer won't read it. The light on the flash drive does not light up. Is there any way I can fix this?

Try it on another computer. If it works, then your computer's USB port has problem. Check the ports and make sure they are properly connected and are cleaned. Also make sure the USB driver is updated/installed. You can also try it on another USB Port of your computer. If it doesn't work on another computer, then I would say your Flashdrive is bad or gone.

Tecra M3 won't boot, hdd light comes on then off.

The hard disk can be installed in another computer, but it won't boot up and run unless the computer is the same make and model with the same devices as the previous computer.
If it is not then you need to do a fresh Windows install to get a working computer.
What you can do as an alternative is to install the hard drive in an USB hard drive adapter case and use it as an external USB hard drive.

Sounds to me as if you disconnected some cable either indirectly or directly leading to your screen. First of all, NEVER leave computer parts lying around to get dust in them. Second, make sure all of your cables are connected, jiggle everything around a little(not too hard!) and see if it works then. And you say that the screen doesn't work as if you haven't put the hard drive in just yet. Have you or haven't you? 'Cause it certainly won't work if the hard drive isn't in yet...
