Hello Brian, welcome to FixYa. Based on your post I understand your dishwasher is a Kenmore and the clean light is flashing and it won't start, correct ? If so, this is usually an error code indicating there was a problem in the heating process the last cycle it ran, however if you could provide the complete model number I could speak specifically to whether it applies to your machine and potentially what to do about it. When the clean light is blinking, the self-test on the dishwasher has reported a problem with the heating circuit. It needs to be fixed. If the dishwasher is still under warranty, call for service.
press normal heated dryer normal heated dry normal the dishwasher should reset and start. You will need to check the heater this happens because the heater normally fails. Let me know,
there is a temp related problem..this could be in the wash cycle not letting water get hot enough or a heater failure....remove your kickplate..there is a tech sheet..it explains how to reset this blinking light.....Bruce Denton
This blinking indicates the water did not heat up properly in the heated wash part of the cycle. I have put together some instructions on resetting the control so you can use the machine and some details on why it might have happened. I just read this for the same problem: push sanitize, then heat and dry, sanitize, heat and dry, sanitize, heat and dry, cancel, then open and close the door. It worked. The dishwasher is running correctly even as I type this.
Check to see how it's loaded. If something is obstructing either of the spray arms it will not start. I had this same problem and checked to see if there was something impeding the arms - I found there was. Reloaded the unit and it's running like a champ now!
QuietGuard3: Clean light flashing 7 times? Press Heated Dry, press Normal Wash, then press Heated Dry again and press Normal Wash again (that's 4 button-presses) and that should fix it.
