Question about Sony KDS-50A2000 50" HDTV
Lamps last between 5,000-8.000 hrs Keep in mind every hour you play TV ,thats an hour lost on Lamp and its also possiable to receive a defective Lamp even new doesnt mean it works.
Lamp Fan if defetive can also prevent lamp from lighting. This happens to protect lamp from running and getting way to hot and therfore buring lamp up .
Ballast Board that connects to lamp is what turns the lamp on,if the ballast board is defective Lamp will not firer, meaning you either have bad lamp fan or new lamp is defective. Heres another Tip Sony had alot of problems with their Light Engines prices for that part range from $650.00 up to $2,799.00 depending on which light Engine you have? Since your TV is Still under warranty take it in quickly and be sure to ASK about warranty on YOUR Light Engine!!!
