Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Disk Locate your disk player’s manual Eject button. It is usually a small hole located underneath the disk drawer. Insert a stiff wire—such as a paperclip or safety pin—into the hole. Push gently and the drawer should open partway. Gently pull the drawer the rest of the way open. Remove the disk and see if there is a problem with it. If still the issue is not resolved then take a smallest screw driver and press the eject button and simultaneously use the screw driver towards you and disk drawer will come out. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

There isn't a small hole underneath the disk drawer...that was the first place I looked.

If you cannot get the disk to eject, power the device off and insert a paper-clip into the emergency-eject hole in the front of the device. It should be located just under the disk tray.

Good luck!

1. You will need the Philips support to eject this DVD
call the tech support and they should give you the remote code to eject the DVD.

Tray wont open on my philips cdr600 recorder , can it be fix

You can try the following:

Unplug power cord.
Plug back power cord.
Press start and push repeatedly the eject button while the unit is starting, before the Player start reading the CD.

Try this a couple of times.

if that does not work, then you will need to disassemble the unit, unplugging from power, and removing the screws at the bottom and at the back, to access the drive and remove disk manually.

Dvd player wont play

Make sure that the DVD Disc is of the format that your DVD recorder can read. For example, if your recorder specifically requires a DVD -R type disk, it will puke on a DVD +R disk.

Unknown disk type

Press 'Disc Menu' and wait for 'no disc' to appear on the screen. Eject the tray by pressing the 'open / close' button on front of the recorder. Enter the following numbers very slowly on the remote control ' 0086000 ' Press ' OK ' button on your remote control. Close the tray by pressing ' open / close ' button on the front of the recorder. You can check this has worked by pressing ' 0009 OK ' on your remote after the tray has closed. A display will pop up on screen showing the Region as 0. This means you should be able to play discs from all Regions. If this doesn't work the first time! try again! Hope this helps!!

Disk Recover message and trays are locked

I have had the same problem. To reset the machine when this happens: 1.Switch off with front panel switch (display dims, but still shows same message). 2. Switch off at mains socket, leave off for about 15 seconds. 3. Switch on at mains socket then front panel - machine should then start up as normal.

I have experienced the "disc recover" condition several times now, when a radio recording has run to the end of a disc, and for some reason the recording process has not terminated properly, resulting in the loss of the recording. I found by trial and error that if you switch the mains off at the socket without first switching off at the front panel, then the disc can become corrupted and useless.

I suspect it is partly dependent on the make of disc as my current batch of TDK RWs do it almost every time, whereas with my last batch (can't remember if they were Maxell or Memorex) seemed much better.

I think the only way to prevent the problem is to manually stop the recording before the end of the disc is reached, I suspect possibly before the 74 minute 'red-book' CD limit is reached, even on an 80 min. disc, though I haven't yet tested that theory properly.

Hope this helps,
HifiJohn
