Question about Sanyo DS25390 TV

1 Answer

My son was moving his sanyo 25" tv in his room and forgot to unhook the cable from the rear of the tv. He ripped the cable nipple out of the rear of the tv, splitting the capacitor connecting to it in the process. I found a replacement nipple at the local Radio Shack, but had no luck with the capacitor. The little box it was mounted in says its value is 1800uf, an odd size for a ceramic type capacitor. Can I use another value or do you have someone who can supply this odd size? Thank you for any assistance you can give.

Please take this disk capacitor to a commercial electronics store. For example an authorized TV shop, A general electronic supply or an NTE Supply reference catalog. A very good source of info would be your local telephone yellow pages!!!! By far the best place to look. Thanks for asking and good luck!

How do I get rid of error message across top of TV that reads "Your television cannot support HDCP video over your high definition connection (H1001)".

Use component cables instead of hdmi cables. I know this isn't the best solution, but HDCP is not used over component and the video quality is just about as good.

Unhooked the TV,took it to another room, hooked it up, just fuzz

Make sure the cable you now have hooked up to TV is actually hooked up to the dish. If you're sure it is then take the TV back to original location and hook it back up. If it works in that location you have a bad cable. If it still doesn't work it's the TV. The only other thing I can suggest is that some TV's must autotune before a picture can be shown. If you're sure you have a ggod signal go to the TV menu and do an auto tune or auto search. The TV will then go thru all the different possibilities looking for signals. Once it has completed the search it will then give you a picture. You can then go and add/delete channels and set it up however you want.

Ghosts on my tv

if you can, try hooking up the tv to a different cable line in the house or bring a different tv into the room where the bad picture is [ you may have a bad connection or wire ] if this doesn't help, try rabbit ear antennas just to get a picture. if you still have ghosts on your tv, the problem is with your tv.if the picture is fine, there maybe a problem with your cable service.
hope this helps
