You may have a bad ground on your vertical IC to begin with! Other repairs would include a bad ground on a coil or the horizontal transformer. The biggest problem is, Yes you have some bad grounds. Repair will be, to find the cracked rings underneath the boards and resolder. Take this note to your local TV Tech, this is your best defense in keeping the the repair cost down! Knowledge, in this case, is on your side now. Good Luck in your search!

Make sure you un plugged it by the power point for the 40 minutes
also make sure there is no speakers or anything magnetic within 60cm's of the tv this can also cause the picture to have strange colors in the screen - if that happens simple do the above

No video but good audio Mitsubishi VS5051. Check R509 and R 519, 100 ohm resistors located on the main PCB near the flyback transformer. Also bad connections on any of the yokes and the vertical output IC will cause the same problem.

Buzzing noise
It could be a high voltage transformer. The serial number won't help me locate the part, but there should be a part number on it. Anyways, this could be the transformer on it's way out. When they are on their way out, sometimes they will amplify the noise through the system and buzz through the speakers too. If you find a part number, check it out on partstore.com to see what a replacement would cost.
